The fmc has severe mental health issues
The mmc has a need for dependency on a girlfriend.
I don’t think the mmc really still understood things by the ending of the book. I’m not sure he really did understand what was wrong with what he did.
I see there’s a second book on these characters, here’s hoping this also goes to audio so I can see if he grows up a little.
