Publisher's Summary

The Sunday Times no. 1 bestseller

The British Royal Family believed that the dizzy success of the Sussex wedding, watched and celebrated around the world, was the beginning of a new era for the Windsors. Yet, within one tumultuous year, the dream became a nightmare. In the aftermath of the infamous Megxit split and the Oprah Winfrey interview, the Royal Family's fate seems persistently threatened.

As Meghan and Harry's much-trailed Netflix documentary finally airs, the public remains puzzled. Meghan's success has alternatively won praise, bewildered and outraged. Confused by the Sussexes' slick publicity, few understand the real Meghan Markle. What lies ahead for Meghan? And what has happened to the family she married into? Can the Windsors restore their reputation?

With extensive research, expert sourcing and interviews from insiders who have never spoken before, Tom Bower, Britain's leading investigative biographer, unpicks the tangled web of courtroom drama, courtier politics and thwarted childhood dreams to uncover an astonishing story of love, betrayal, secrets and revenge.

Eye Opening and enjoyable

A great listen, as a huge fan and follower of the RF, this rundown of events solidify my loyalty and admiration of the late Queen and now King and Country. Thank you 😊

Great listen

Sets the record straight on low-watt-bulb Harry Windsor and ‘Princess Pinocchio’ - attention seeking, dishonest hypocrites both.

Bower doesn’t hold back

The refutes of Megan and Harry’s claims are worth listening to. Bower makes a strong case that, apart from social climbing, Megan is all words and no substance and is famous for nothing. Unfortunately, Harry’s vulnerability and lack of foresight prevents him from seeing this. Both are egocentric and lack maturity. I enjoyed the book, but found Megan and Harry’s behaviour and lack of true empathy for how their words and actions will effect their families infuriating in the end.

Fascinating Listening

Easy to listen to. I really enjoyed the reader’s voices for the “characters”! I found this book really interesting! Tom Bower has a lovely writing style.

You need to hear this book Meghan & Harry

Fantastic investigate book.

This book navigates exactly where and how fame hungry Meghan went wrong and besotted Harry was complicit in all the lies and hurt this has generated. Meghan lied about growing up poor, who paid for her education etc …the actual truth matters little to delusional Meghan who has her “own truth” and delusions.

Meghan never wanted a Royal role, she wanted Diana’s global fame. Harry fed the lie that Meghan was exactly like Diana which sparked even more delusional, just as her besotted dad Thomas Markle had tried to protect his daughter’s spirit by telling her that Hillary Clinton had responded to her campaign against P&G. In reality everyone ignored 11 year old Meghan. Not wanting his daughter to be broken, he wrote a fake letter from Clinton to his daughter. In many ways this book is a love letter from a father and husband to a mentally ill, lost and narcissistic woman in urgent need of help.

The people who need to hear this book the most are Meghan & Harry. If Meghan is so blinded by fame, that she can’t have humility to see where she went wrong and simply keeps playing the race card (my mum is biracial - I don’t play the card at all) then she has no chance at public redemption. There are many of us , myself included that we’re proud to have our first biracial member of the Royal family. It’s being nothing but a let down with this fame hungry, designer label lover and greedy woman who’s only role is a victim.

Meghan wanted designer clothes, shoes, gifts and a global celebrity level mansion. She didn’t want to check hands with the ill at hospices and nursing homes. Meghan could never be Diana, and Harry blindness to Meghan’s unwillingness to meet the outcasts of society and the “man on street” show that he hardly knew his mother at all.

Do yourself a favour Meghan and listen to your story. Not the made up story that you spun to Omid Scobie, but the real account of your lies and manipulation of your life in order to seek global fame and become Diana version 2.0. The public sees the real you and won’t be manipulated.

Call your dad as a priority too. It’s hard to forgive you for cutting him off for talking to the media when you , Harry and your crony friends have been in bed with the media spinning your made up story. It seems your real issue is you couldn’t spoon feed your dad media stories about your fabulous version of Meghan. The sad truth was your father wanted to tell the world about the fabulous daughter he had. Sadly he has come to terms that his beloved daughter is dead.

Engrossing.

A well compiled depiction of the saga of insecure Harry and his narcissistic, conniving wife that continues to make royal intrigue fascinating to this day.
