Beginning concepts and reinforcement of mind set

Would you listen to Retreat Security and Small Unit Tactics again? Why?

Yes, I will listen to it at least 3 or 4 times.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Retreat Security and Small Unit Tactics?

Descriptions of various techniques and strategies

Which scene was your favorite?

All interesting

Any additional comments?

It is a "basic training" of security and patrolling and how to go about security. The book reinforces enthusiasm and the mind set needed for prepping. A good primer. Then get Patriots- A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse by James Rawles. That book is the next level and then some!

Something for all to hear...

It's just a matter of before your area is devastated by a natural phenomena or something worse. This book is an easy read and will help get your mind in gear.

Basic Preparedness

This is a very simple, short look into the world of preparedness. This is a great list of fundamentals that everyone should be aware of, if not practice. There are several good podcasts that cover these ideas with about as much detail, and they won't cost you a credit. Actually, you will learn a lot more by simply listening to the author's own podcasts.

I would recommend this book for someone new to the idea of securing themselves and their family. However, this book just barely scratches the surface.

a good introduction to security

I'm a combat veteran. most of the things taught here in this book are standard military practices. However, this is well organized for civilians or for a refresher

Good if you lack basic fundamentals

It goes over the why for quite a while leaving a person that already understands and takes security seriously waiting.

It also covers very basic tactics in excruating detail, which if you have no knowledge will be great, however the more intermediate listener will be bored.
