Story
Messy-haired, soulful-eyed, off-kilter lyricist Les Graves holds tight to the hedonist’s credo of consumption in every avenue of life. He has trouble staying still, trouble staying sober, trouble turning down a good time - but put a pen in his hand, and he’ll set a page on fire. Music was Evan Porter’s ticket out of the backwater mud puddle he was born in. Every ounce of sweat has been devoted to making Porter & Graves a success. He’s the level-head, the quiet maestro, the seatbelt keeping Les from flying too far out of control. And he’s getting tired of playing savior.

Story
Oz Gallagher does not do relationships well. Bored and jobless after another disastrous hook up, he decides to leave London for a temporary job in the wilds of Cornwall. Surely managing a stately home on a country estate will be easier than navigating the detritus of his relationships at home. Six months there will alleviate a bit of his wanderlust and then he can come back to London as footloose and fancy free as the day he left it. However, when he gets there, he finds a house in danger of crumbling to the ground and a man who is completely unlike anyone he’s ever met.

Story
Charlie Rourke is an ultra-fabulous human whirlwind on a mission to launch the next biggest band in the world. However, he might have taken on more than he could handle when he signed on to manage Zero. Promoting a rock band and finding gigs shouldn’t be hard. They’re a talented group with a ton of star power. If Charlie can find the right record label, he’s sure he can help them get to the next level. The only problem is the skater boy slash bassist with a quirky sense of humor. He’s annoying and silly, and he’s exactly Charlie’s type. Except, he’s straight.

Publisher's Summary
I gave the rumor mill fodder for a lifetime the day I walked away from a lucrative music career without explanation.
People can talk all they like; my record stores are my lifeblood now, and I'm devoted solely to keeping them afloat in the digital age.
There's just one little thing distracting me: an Earth-dwelling sunbeam named Owen Harper. I don't know what I was thinking when I hired him. In fact, maybe, I wasn't thinking, at all.
Quirky and excitable, he's a walking, talking danger to fragile objects. His energy alone could power a small country. That's never been my style. Hell, I was probably cutting my first album while he was cutting teeth. He wants a music career, and I'm done with all that. We couldn't be on more opposite paths.
He's other things, too, though. Things that keep me up late at night. Things that make me forget I'm supposed to be simplifying. And damn does he love to push my buttons.
Now I'm struggling to resist his pull, drowning in the memory of his skin under my hands, his mouth on mine. His laugh.
When a long shadow from my past comes calling with an offer, I'd be stupid to refuse. There's more on the line than the survival of the shops I've dedicated the last 15 years of my life to.
Because, those fragile objects I mentioned earlier? One of them might well be my heart.
Resonance is the second book in the Rhythm of Love series but can be listened to on its own. It's a steamy, slow burn, bisexual, age-gap, boss/employee romance with lots of banter and two obstinate heroes who really, really don't want to want the very thing they both need.

Dan and Owen
I loved Dan’s steadfastness as an anchor to Owen’s off the wall sparkles. It would seem like they wouldn’t work, but they are explosive together! The story is great and Nick J. Russo brings it to life. Total enjoyment.

The bar was set high
Dan Grim is mine. No, seriously, since his first appearance in Dedicated, I fell for the curmudgeonly, world-weary, mysterious Dan, and pegged Owen as his love interest. I also adored Greg Boudreaux's performance of Dedicated, so Nick J. Russo had two bars to reach, really, and he did so easily. In the beginning, I think he was a bit uncomfortable with the Southern accent but he worked into quickly, and soon he was voicing my Dan perfectly. Did a great job with Owen, too. If you've not read the story, it's a slow burn, age gap, grumpy one and sunshine one, boss-employee romance that builds beautifully, and I loved it. Nick did a wonderful job of bringing it to life, and it's going immediately onto my re-listen list!
