Publisher's Summary

From the NYT best-selling author of Breathless with Her comes a fake relationship romance that’s all too real.

Professing her love to her best friend while wearing only her favorite panty set and coat probably wasn’t the best decision Amelia Carr has ever made. In fact, it’s perhaps the worst. But when her family becomes their overprotective selves while encroaching on her life, she makes a rash decision: Her brother’s best friend will just have to be her beard. Too bad he has no idea what he’s in for.

Tucker Reinhard loves women, and they tend to love him even more. Despite the love, he never would have expected Amelia to come up with the plan she poses to him. He’ll go along with it, but only because he doesn’t want to see her hurt - even if that means fighting his best friend.

In the midst of her scheme, Amelia realizes she doesn’t know Tucker as well as she thought. And neither of them are prepared for what happens when they let the façade go and see what truly lies beneath.

Omg!! Must listen!

Absolutely loved the latest book by the author it had a couple twists I didn’t see coming and were great and kept me reading throughout. It’s a page turner and I couldn’t put it down. This book included characters we have seen throughout the series. This is Amelia’s story and the second of the series.

The narrators were great and made the story even better!

Great addition to this series!

This next installment in the Less than series was a great addition to the series that I enjoyed thoroughly. This standalone read tells Tucker and Amelia's story to the HEA with each other that the pair was not at first looking for. Both started their relationship under false pretenses with a fake relationship that turned real as well as with Tucker being Amelia's brother's best friend. Where this sounded like a cliche story line I in the end did not feel that it was as the pair had relationship issues that they worked through and found that in the end that they have feelings for each other despite the other factors that lead them to their relationship. Their story moved along smoothly with a few bumps in the road and the pair had amazing chemistry. In the audio revision, the narration by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cook was enjoyable and the pair did a great job bringing this story to life. In the end, I would recommend this book to others.

Reckless with you

I absolutely love the Carrs. They have the same close knit, I’ve got your back, dynamic as the Montgomery’s but with a whole different background and feel. One of my favorite tropes is Older siblings that raise their younger siblings, and although it’s a bit different it’s basically how their lives played out. I was kind of surprised (def not in a bad way) that Amelia didn’t end up with her best friend, I couldn’t believe the levels of douchery he hit, but I loved her with Tucker. I also loved having the Melinda and Ethan surprise added in. It’s another one of my favorite tropes. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Caleb and Zoey. The count down clock has been reset.

The audio by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Cook was amazing. I’m not sure I’ve heard performances by either before, but I will be looking for their other narrations.

Reckless With You

When Amelia confesses her love for her best friend, things go horribly wrong. Brokenhearted, she finds comfort with her brothers’ best friend, Tucker. Being the good guy he is, he agrees to become her fake boyfriend. As they navigate their “fake relationship” an unexpected traumatic event causes Tucker to push away the only family he’s ever known.

Tucker and Amelia compliment each other perfectly. Both have their issues with love which makes this friends to lovers story that much more enjoyable.

Amelia and Tucker

Amelia and Tucker's story is about love, it's about friendship and it's about family. Amelia thought she had fallen in love with her best friend, Toby but had she? Toby didn't love her that way and has been hiding the fact that he had found "his forever" in a girl named Beth. Did she ever really know Toby?

To stop the pitying glances and the attempted matchmaking attempts of her family and friends she asks Tucker, her brother Devon's best friend to be her fake boyfriend, her beard. Tucker for some reason agrees even though it could damage his relationship with the Carr family, the only family he has.

Tucker has been alone since his parents died when he was young, he grew up in the foster care system and was never adopted because he had medical issues. He chose Devon's family as his own, family and friends who were always there for him. When Amelia, his best friend's little sister, asks him to pretend to be her fake boyfriend he starts seeing her in a different light. It's pretend but..... over time things change, and neither know what to do about it.

Amelia may not have had the best parents but she has three amazing big brothers who support her and love her unconditionally. What she thought was love with Toby wasn't is she making another mistake with Tucker?

Amelia is complex and mixed up, always there for her family and friends. Whilst Tucker is a loner, and never lets anyone behind his walls, not even the Carr family who think of him as one of them. He's decided to never let anyone in, to never commit to anyone that way no one who matters will ever leave him again. But he's beginning to be close to Amelia and she to him.

Then out of the blue someone from his past tells him something which will change his life forever - will he include Amelia or will he cut himself off from everyone as he has done in the past?

The importance o family plays a huge part in the story, Amelia and Tucker have a somewhat bumpy road to travel but they do find their HEA.

The narration of the book by Samantha Cook and Jacob Morgan is beautifully done, they both hit just the right note and bring the characters to life in the best possible way.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.
