I can’t rate the story as I turned it off after an hour
I couldn’t stand the narrator

1st book I've read for this author. I didn't get the depth of the heroes fear with commitment straight away which I'm not sure was or wasn't Intentional.
the days to say life was wonderfully descriptive as was the land and the contract in the cowboys when they are not 'on duty so to speak. it gives them a same ol same ol as every other man.
Ms Kari left out the hot and steamy writing and just let us warm up....it was nice but safe...I read authors with dark romances so I like a bit of down and dirty.
I'm going to try book 2 as I love county and rodeo.
Johanna I find I love her narration, she has all the Inflections, the voices and the drawl perfect.
never tire from her voice, works well with cowboys that tend to portray the laid back style.

The story has substance and lovely descriptive text. However, I cannot stand the narration. It seems stilted and the accent is very fake. Not pleasing to listen too. I might have to get paperbacks of the next two.
