its a bit unusual to listen to a story where there are vulnerable heroes and brave heroines who admit their errors and take the initiative.
Sometimes I struggled to engage with the sense of vulnerability the hero feels ...the 1st book more so than this one. book 2 gave us a bit of steam in the bedroom instead of suspense leading to the act and....nothing. And the humour....I laughed every time Benny spoke it was brilliant...."out of the mouth of babes" was exactly what this was. great writing Ms Dell.
love Johanna she does a great southern drawl and I can work with her male voice.

Absolutely enjoyed this book. I had to have a little giggle at the one liners throughout the book. God is good and works in mysterious ways. He used Torie to heal Dillon so he could achieve his dream of winning the nation bronk riding. I love these sort of books because it was the life I was living as a young person but circumstances cut that life short.
