A Diamond

A rare find!!! I had 2 spare credits and haven’t felt like watching tv and so I thought let’s give this series a try. This series is so close to being one of favourites and will definitely get a few re listens. Characters were well rounded, made me laugh, I feel in love with this story. The only thing I didn’t like..... it ended

So, once I got started on this one, I really didn't want to stop listening. I would listen on my walks, listen in the car to and from work, and then just play games on my phone so I could listen then too. I loveeddddd getting the rest of Gia and Rush's story, and I was quite happy with how everything panned out in the end. I really wasn't sure at times what Rush was going to turn around and do, and then a bunch of things popped up with his family, and I was waiting for things to drop there too. Gia and Rush seem to communicate fairly well, particularly given their situation, and Rush never treated her like she was in the wrong, or treated her poorly at all, which was great. He dealt with things in his own way, never taking it out too immensely on her, which I felt showed great maturity for his character. Oak was one of my favourite secondary characters in these books, and there were some cool moments with him in this one too. Tony, Gia's Dad, was another cool one. I loved the ending, and how everything turned out, and now that I'm finished this audio, I won't know what to listen to next. The bar has been set!

What a great finish.

Must read Rebel Heir first. I wondered where the authors would take this story and I’m glad they didn’t make it any messier. I mean how much more messier could it get when your girlfriend finds out she’s pregnant with the guy she had a one night stand with, and said one night stand turns out to be your estranged half brother. I’m also glad Rush got the fatherly approval that he was so desperate for.

A Blushing Audio Review

There was something about this story from the very beginning of Book#1 Rebel Heir that had me absorbed. Be it the interesting and relatable characters or the fact I have not read a plot anything similar before or maybe it’s the combined authors writing styles. I think it is all of the above. This is a well written, well-paced romance with just the right amount of angst, sexual tension and drama balanced out with likeable and witty M & F main characters. The second novel flowed well from the first and I fell in love with Gia and Rush all over again. They would have to be one of my favourite hero’s & heroines so far this year because their relationship was convincingly pragmatic, they had the humorous and sarcastic back and forth banter that I love encompassing their personalities in a perfect adorable bubble. Although the conflict at hand was not a light one the authors did well in making it sad without breaking your heart and at the same time adding sweetness without making you want to vomit and roll your eyes. I loved the ending it was the perfect conclusion to Rush and Gia’s rebel romance story.Sebastian York is a God, well maybe not but he sure sounds like one?! Perfect match for Rush and perfect match for my ears. His deep sexy voice is always a winner for me. Not too many female narrators can do a great male narration but Maxine is one of them, is scratchy raw and deep enough that you can forget it’s a female’s voice. Her narration of Gia was unequalled. Maxine captures expressions and emotions faultlessly. I highly recommend this audio version of Rebel Heart. AUDIO RATING: 5/5

Oh I loved the ending to Gia & Rush's story even more than the beginning of it. They have many things to overcome and I was left with happy heart at the end of this story. The way Rush's adores Gia and her changes melted my heart and made me love him even more. It's book boyfriends like Rush that set the bar high for real life boyfriends LOL. This was a beautiful love story! Thankfully I had them both and was able to go right into book 2. One other thing, I don't really know why this is 2 books. It's one story cut in half and sold as 2 when total it was only like 14 hours on audio. That works ok with ebooks but audiobooks are expensive and having to buy 2 to get a 14 hours story is hard to swallow no matter how amazing the story is. The narration was PERFECT! Loved Sebastian York & Maxine Mitchel for this duet!!!

You have to love this Rebel!!

A great story with strong male and female leads. Fantastic conclusion to a duet audiobook. I haven't listened to a book with narrator Maxine in quite a while. I forgot how good she is with both female and male roles. Sebastian is great as a male lead, but I had trouble differentiating between the male roles. This story brought out all the emotions from happy, sad, wanting to punch someone's face in (the name starts with an E) to a very steamy romantic love story. Thank you for not rushing the ending, like a lot of the books I have read. I just wish you would have put these two stories together. Because I haven't paid this much for any authors story. I Love Penelope and Vi stories, but I will not buy another of their stories again if they continue doing this. There are equally good authors out there that I and I am sure other readers agree that they can find fantastic stories.

Sweet story!

Love the narrators and it's a sweet story. Penelope Ward does not disappoint in this series. As usual she makes you feel like you know the characters and brings you into the story.

FORTUNATELY, UNFORTUNATELY

I read both books in the series and both were awesome. Narrators were great. Fortunately, I found a great pair of authors. Unfortunately, book 2 was the last of the series😞.

Fortunately and unfortunately

As the love story continues, it also becomes more complicated. There are so many ups and downs in this story sometimes you feel like your on a rollercoaster of emotions. With the two narrator's, it gave listening to this book a more realistic feel that you are hearing each characters perspective on what is playing out. I enjoyed listening to both Rebel books.

Fortunately, unfortunately

Fortunately, this is the last book in this “Rush” series. Unfortunately, this was a little too predictable. Fortunately, jerks get paid back for their jerkish ways. Unfortunately, I wasted an afternoon listening to the resolution.

Its OK

Rush is amazing. Gia is annoying, selfish, & immature. The ending is predictable and unrealistic. Wasn't the worst story but definitely not a favorite.

Pregnant?!

Spoiler: The story hooked me from the beginning and the connection that the main characters developed. BAM she’s pregnant from a one night stand who was not the hero. Wow! This authors how to ruin good romance story. The only reason I finish this was because of the narrators. After she got pregnant, the romance went downhill. Wow!! Can I give negative rating?

The family dynamic

I give it all to Rush who is truly a man. I come from a semi close minded family and to go through the motions of Rush and Gia’s decisions. It’s hard to put yourself into there shoes. I understood both sides but leant more toward misfortune events playing out as the book went on. Wonderful execution of words and realism describing taking a “sperm donors” baby as your own. It’s humbling to know there are Rush’s and Gia’s in our world.

Great audio book, definitely worth a listen

I loved the whole story line of the rush series, once you’ve had one surprise and you think that’s the plot twist, you get hit by another as always with VI Keeland. First time I’ve listened to Maxine Mitchell narrate as am use to listening to Andi and Sebastian as a duet but I loved her voice both female and male brilliant!

WHAT A RUSH

Rush........ I loved him. In the first book he came across as the bad boy, the chain-smoking hottie with tattoos, then there was Gia.... Gia was the woman who changed his view of one night stands, the woman who began to grow on him the woman who began to change his outlook on relationships and then there was the cliffhanger. A cliffhanger I saw coming but I could not wait to read the next book to see how Rush would cope with this new information, and could he continue with his road to forever with Gia? All through Rebel heart there is still an uncertainty with Rush what Gia revealed is a biggie and Rush just doesn't know if he can open himself up like that. Rush is a BBF, he's swoon-worthy gone is the hard bossy demeanour Gia softens him but he has one heck of a dilemma to work through. I loved this duet, the characters the brilliant balance of hotness, drama and suspense. I listened on Audio and these two narrators are brilliant, really bring the story to life. Recommended duet. I am very happy with the outcome in book 2 and loved the suspense. told in first person dual pov and leads to hea.

Wrong wrong and predictable. I was looking forward to the second book after hearing the first one but I felt I just lost 6 valuable hours of my life. Do not buy it it's better to ended it at the cliffhanger from the first book and imagine the rest.
