Publisher's Summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Read, Write, Love at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Read, Write, Love. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

In Read, Write, Love at Seaside...

Best-selling author Kurt Remington lives to write. He spends 12 hours a day in front of his computer, rarely leaving the seclusion of his beach-front property, where he's come to finish his latest thriller - that is, until free-spirited Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean trying to save her dog. Kurt's best-laid plans are shot to hell when he comes to their rescue. Kurt's as irritated as he is intrigued by the sexy, hot mess of a woman who lives life on a whim, forgets everything, and doesn't even know the definition of the word organized.

Leanna's come to the Cape hoping to find a fulfilling career in the jam-making business, and until she figures out her own life, a man is not on the menu. But Leanna can't get the six-two, deliciously muscled and tragically neat Kurt out of her mind. She tells herself she's just stopping by to say thank you, but the heart-warming afternoon sparks an emotional and unexpectedly sweet ride as Kurt and Leanna test the powers of Chemistry 101: Opposites Attract.

Calm & Chaotic

I absolutely adore the way Leanna just crashes into Kurt's methodical life and turns it all upside down! They balance each other out in such a beautiful way, with Leanna getting Kurt to be more spontaneous and live more and Kurt getting Leanna to be more focused and their love is just so beautiful. I loved hearing this story and recommend it.

I Loved It

Authoraholic meets no boundaries Jam Maker…….
When Kurt rescues Leanna and her dog from the ocean the attraction hits him hard and that attraction was instant. Talk about two people who are complete opposite. Kurt is a neat freak and Leanna is messy.
This book is such a sweet story with a HEA. The narration is by Melissa Moran. I adore listening to audio books. It makes my commute to work go by quick.

Simply Irresistible.

Leanna and Kurt have nothing in common. He's an organizer, she's a mess. He's reserved, she's loud. Yet somehow they work. They bring out the best in each other, even at their worst. Addison Cole proves that sometimes less is more. Simply irresistible.

Sooo Lovely!

4.5 stars.

*UPDATED*

I recently also listened to this in audiobook format.

It was better the second time around to revisit this story. I LOVED the narrator, she was just like I expected Leanna to sound, giving life to this character with all the emotions and ups and downs in it.

It’s odd to read a book and then hear it come to life in an audiobook, lol. It’s the characters come to life! And this doesn’t disappoint… at all.

It was a fun experience, one I’ll revisit in the future. I highly recommend this book and audiobook.

This was the perfect romance for the weekend.

Here we meet Kurt and Leanna, two opposite personalities that in the end, have a LOT in common. :-)

I loved Leanna and her carefree spirit, yeah, she seemed a bit too much in my eyes, but it was a great complement to Kurt’s more reserved personality. I loved the way she looked at life, however, it didn’t mean that she didn’t have doubts about her path in life. I could totally relate to Leanna in that regard, it’s hard sometimes to find a path that you feel passionate about, and not just something that you’re good at. I enjoyed her time with her friends as well, and Pepper! what a lovely little thing, though quite a handful, lol.

As for Kurt, he was a good character as well, he just needed to loosen up like whoa. I love tidiness and order, but I can make a mess from time to time. This guy, though, oh boy. Which is why I loved Leanna and Pepper in his life, he really needed a little mess. And what better than a dog, lol.

I really enjoyed these two, and how they brought each other’s ‘other side’. It was a super fun and lovely read, perfect for a quiet weekend.

Fun Flirty Read at Seaside!

Such a fantastic book! I had first read the kindle book, but decided to listen to the audio book . Even though I had obviously read it before this, the audio books are such a fantastic change up from sitting down and reading them yourself. Melissa Moran was a fantastic Narrator and really brought the characters to life. I really enjoyed the Audible version and will definitely be checking out more Seaside books by Addison Cole!***

Kurt and Leanna

Book 1 in the Seaside Summer s series by Addison Cole. We meet the gang at Seaside, a collection of cottages on Wellfleet. First up is Kurt and Leanna. Kurt is a thriller writer and Leanna makes jam. Kurt is calm and organized while Leanna runs on chaos. Is it true that opposites attract? And is that enough? Throw in some really good friends and a little Pepper, and enjoy the fun!

I listened to an audio of this story narrated by Melissa Moran. She does a wonderful job with the voices and is entertaining and refreshing. The clear delivery with emotion and fun evident made this listening experience a fun one.

When opposites attract!

Wow, Kurt and Leanna could not be more different, but wow, sparks when they come together! Kurt is quiet and reserved, and strives to spend long periods of time writing...alone. Leanna is spotanteous, scattered and tends to fly by the seat of her pants. Their meeting is by chance but once it happens, there is no denying that they want to be together. This was my first experience with Melissa Moran as a narrator but I enjoyed her work. She was able to bring these characters to life through her voice!

I highly recommend both Addison Cole as well Melissa Moran!

Read, Write, Love at Seaside

First off, this is my first book by Addison Cole and I thought it delivered exactly what the subtitle promises: sweet with heat. I'm not one who shies away from explicit scenes, nor to I only read books that contain graphic sex. It honestly depends on whatever I'm in the mood for, and I would say that this series would be perfect for someone who wants a pretty uncomplicated romance.

The narrator was wonderful. As I've been listening to more audiobooks lately, I've started to pick out things I like and dislike about certain narrators, and I though Melissa Moran did a great job of conveying both the male and female dialogue as well as having great variations on each character so you know the distinction between characters talking. She has great inflection as well. There was a nice, natural flow about her reading / performance.

Read, Write, Love at Seaside follows bestselling author Kurt Remington summering at the Cape while he tries to finish his latest novel. Working on a deadline, Kurt is interrupted when Leanna Bray nearly drowns in the ocean outside his home while searching for her dog that ran away. What follows is a whirlwind romance where neat and tidy Kurt and free-spirited Leanna begin to see that their differences only make them stronger together. As far as the romance goes, I felt like it was pretty straightforward.

One of the main draws for me was the setting. The Cape in summer with sun, sand, beach, swimming, cute cottages. It made for a very idyllic image. As I listened, I wanted to be there. This is only helped along by Leanna's three friends: Bella, Jenna, and Amy. Their obviously close friendship was wonderful. How they come together from all walks of life for the summer and how they help Leanna get her business off the ground was great. If there's anything I like in my stories besides a bit of romance, it's great friendships and Read, Write, Love at Seaside delivers.

I really enjoyed listening to this title, and I can't wait to see what's next in the series. I think it's a pretty good assumption that Leanna's friends will get their own romance, at least I hope. There were a couple times I could tell, through the secondary characters, that this series is probably connected to another series by the author, this in no way hindered my listening experience. If anything it make me even more interested to find out how these characters got to where they are in this book.

If you are truly looking for a sweet romance with heat. Look no further than Read, Write, Love at Seaside.

Sweet with Heat

I listen to audiobooks while working out, driving around, or when I am home alone. Read, Write, Love at Seaside is a book that I read a little bit ago and then listened to. I found when I listened to the story I lost myself even more into the story, the characters, and the setting of Seaside. Melissa Moran, the narrator, did an amazing job of bringing the characters to life and of bringing the feelings right out of the book into my heart. She takes Addison Cole's, author, words and brings them to life. I was sneaking time to listen just because I couldn’t get enough of these amazing characters and wonderful story.

Oh My Gosh.... Addison Cole has written the sweetest, most loving, and amazing story.

Kurt is lost in his own book world and not interested in anything but his family and writing when Leanna stumbles into his life and turns it upside down. I love how opposite these two are. Kurt is organized, serious, and focused. Leanna is flirty, klutzy, and rolls with whatever is happening. Together they are perfect. They balance each other out perfectly.

I believe Kurt is almost perfect, only almost because perfect isn't any fun. He not only accepts Leanna's unorganized life but he integrates himself into that life without making it big deal. At no point does he make her feel bad about how different they are. He accepts her as she is without questioning or pushing her to change. Leanna also accepts Kurt as he is. She understands when he has to go into his own world and write instead of hanging out with her and doesn't pressure him to do what she wants.

This is listed as Sweet with Heat for a reason. The sweet part is found on every page, whether in Kurt and Leanna's relationship or in the friendships of the Seaside Summer Girls. The heat is hinted at numerous times yet Addison Cole leaves the true heat to the reader's imagination.

This is the perfect read for a cold night cuddled by a fire or a day at the beach in the hot sun. The Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series is sure to become a favorite.
