After he's found guilty of murder, Rath is saved from a death sentence by a mysterious new ally. His newfound friends have a daring plan to rekindle an old revolution, and they want his help. If it all works, Rath could clear his conscience at last, and pay his debt to society. But starting a rebellion will put him squarely in the sights of Beauceron and Paisen as they rush to prevent the looming war. And even Rath's best-laid plans can go astray....

OK, I picked up the first book as a special but I haven't been able to put the series down. I love the ideas that Piers Platt presents in the book along with the layers to the plot that he has woven into the story. The sub plots highlight a lot of issues that exist in the current world and are carefully crafted in a compelling story. Can't wait to get my ears into the next one.

My favourite narrator is Stephen Fry, but I've found James Fouhey voice lends itself to these characters and the time period of this story line, in a similar way that Fry does with the Harry Potter Series. It's just brilliant.
