Ralf schlüpft aus seinem Ei und ist ganz neugierig auf die Welt. Da er noch nicht fliegen kann, sitzt er in seinem Nest und beobachtet seine Füße, um zu prüfen, ob er schon gewachsen ist. Da trifft er Tülay, die kleine Hummel. Sie überzeugt ihn, nicht im Nest zu warten bis er groß ist, denn das ist ja viel zu langweilig. Der kleine Rabe und die Hummel finden einen Korb Kirschen und erleben ihr erstes Abenteuer. Gemeinsam bewegen sie die Raben des Birkenwäldchens tatsächlich zu einem Fußmarsch und finden eine Möglichkeit, wie Ralf doch mit seinem Papa fliegen kann. Und keiner wird gebissen.
