About this listen

Book 2 of the Space Wolf Series

Grandfather Nurgle spreads a deadly plague across an Imperial planet. The young Ragnar Blackmane responds to the Inquisition’s call for aid, but can he save the world in time?

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE

It's a rip-roaring action-adventure tale that pits the Young Wolf and his pack against the might of the forces of the Plague God. It's got a very memorable Great Unclean One and an insight into the Space Wolves' relationship with the Inquisition.

THE STORY

A deadly plague is ravaging the planet of Aerius, and millions of Imperial citizens are dying. Inquisitor Sternberg turns to the fearsome Space Wolves for aid in recovering the ancient Talisman of Lykos, which he believes can cure the corruption ravaging the world. Ragnar Blackmane and his squad of Blood Claws embark on a near-suicidal mission to retrieve the talisman before it is too late. But this is no ordinary plague, and the servants of Nurgle await the Space Wolves. Will they be able to overcome the forces of Chaos, or is Aerius doomed?

Written by William King. Narrated by Phillip Sacramento. Running time is 10 hours and 56 minutes (approx).

I thoroughly enjoyed the story and its well-maintained pace. The Space Wolves' unique approach sets them apart from other space marine novels, and the banter adds an enjoyable element.

Unlike some newer Space Marine stories that tend to be overly serious, this one strikes a great balance, making it captivating and entertaining.

Great Continuation of Ragnar’s saga

Liked the story and performance but it seemed the voice over would change in tone which pulled me out of the story abit also nit picking I know but the terms used where a bit off in this like the space wolfs calling themselves space wolves instead of fenrica and the term psychic instead of weirding but just little things in the end

A great listen to those who I just getting into this universe

Following the story of Ragnar, Ragnars Claw continues on from the first Space Wolf novel and in great attention to detail tells the Blood Claws first traipse among the stars, filled with gore, deception and love. Both William King’s writing prowess and Phillip Sacramento’s performance are marvels to witness and I look forward to more works from both!

Another fanastic Space Wolf novel!

I remember reading this as a kid.
one of my first Warhammer novels I ever read.
it is funny, as Ragnar dwells upon past times thinking them simpler, I too am drawn to dwell on such thoughts too by reading this book.
it seemed so much simpler back then.
but just as Ragnar realised the lie of that so to do I.
man...
it was GOOD to come back.
