Publisher's Summary

Princess or adventurer.

Duty or freedom.

Her Kingdom or the storm hunter she loves.

If Aurora knows anything, it's that choices have consequences. To set things right, she joins a growing revolution on the streets of Pavan.

In disguise as the rebel Roar, she puts her knowledge of the palace to use to aid the rebellion. But the Rage season is at its peak, and not a day passes without the skies raining down destruction. Yet these storms are different - they churn with darkness and attack with a will that's desperate and violent.

This feels like more than rage.

It feels like war.

Utterly Captivating!!!

I am so pleased with this story. I literally just listened to the last words and I feel so excited for Auroara. Things happen in this book, important things that can't be skipped. I would suggest reviewing the first book if it has been awhile for you. The day before I started this book I went back and listened to the last five chapters of ROAR. It had been over a year since I listened and it helped me to remember the small things before moving on to the next installment. The second books of most trilogies are sometimes limited to information that only sets up the final installment. Nothing usually happens of great importance. This is NOT the case for RAGE. Yhe main character, Roar, learned more about her powers, returns to Pavan, assists with the rebellion, and finally comes face to face with both of her main enemies. New characters are introduced and secret plots are discovered. Another thing I love is that there is an above average number of strong female characters. Other than the Locke Queen, every other female is powerful, self sufficient, and head strong. Even Auroara who has moments of self doubt is not someone that is taken lightly. I know some will feel like she wobbles with her confidence, but we should remember she is young. She has only been independent a few months. Plus, even great people have those moments. As long as these episodes aren't happening every other page and drawn out to exaggeration then I think she can have a moment or two. The love story angle is done well in my opinion. I felt the ache Locke has when separated from Roar. There is a scene when he states he both loves and hate her. I think everyone can remember their first real break up with someone they really loved. I think the author captured the hurt and longing well. And the best part of the romance angle is that THERE IS NO LOVE TRIANGLE!!!😁😄🤣 Oh My Goddess, that is refreshing in a YA story. There is definitely chemistry between Locke(Kirian) and Roar(Aurora). Note: Both characters have two names in this series so be prepared for that. In addition to the main characters, two of the side characters find a potential love interest including one that will fit in the LBGT category. There are a couple of small skirmishes, but the big action scenes happens when you only have about a third of the book left. Narration is done well and in some parts it is the only reason I know that the POV has changed. Personally, I like when a point of view changes that they call out the characters name. Like "Chapter Seven - Locke". But I guess they read it the way it's written. But luckily this narrator has distinct voices for each character. 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A-freakin-mazing Story! I laughed, I cried, I loved someone, I hated someone. I debate with myself how happy or sad this author has made me. I will talk to my boyfriend about what happened to the characters as if they are real people (and he will pretend to listen). The story telling is great and this book is one I'll return to in my time of need for something good to read.

Loved it! Didn’t want it to end.

I love this series! Can’t wait for the next book. Both books Roar and Rage draw you in and you find yourself lost in the story wanting more. I absolutely loved the narrators voice, she sets such a perfect tone and added so much feeling to the story.

I can’t handle these endings!

Book 2 was as good as book 1; possibly even better. I wish I had waited until book 3 was released, however, because I want to dive right into it. Not sure I can wait til July 2021!

I liked book 1 better

I don't know if it was the long wait or if this book just dragged on. I won't give away any spoilers, but the ending was enough to make me read the next book.

Okay, now what?

Not sure exactly whether I like this book or not. It continued the story well. Opened up some new avenues. But it was not so good I couldn't put it down. Okay, so now what?

Great Read

I loved this book. The performance was incredible, and the author has a powerful skill. I am a lover of books, and I love it when I find an author that knows how to write. The romance between Kieran and Aurora is powerful and beautiful chemistry. This is definitely a great read, and I highly recommend it the ending is good, as it finishes the story while forcing you to listen to the next book. I simply cannot wait for it.

Marvelous Book 2!

I had been waiting to read/listen to this one until closer to the third book's release but since it doesn't seem to have one still, I went ahead and listened to this one. And loved it as much as the first book! Although it was hard to catch the shift in POV since the narrator didn't do anything different for each one (and possibly because I was listening at 1.5x speed), I thought this was a great addition to the series and am even more excited for the next one to release!

Roar’s determination is infectious

Roar’s determination is infectious! While Soneela as the narrator took me awhile to get used to, I ended up liking her narration. Yes, the ending is frustrating but it makes you excited for the next book.

Great second book in series

Although I think this book was slower in some places than the first book was, it was still wonderful to be back in the world of Pavan and get to know all the characters a bit more. I especially loved some of the new friendships and romances that happened in this book, and I didn’t expect that ending at all! And now I’m really looking forward to the third book to see what happens next!!
