Brilliant Worsley

A beautifully written book by Lucy Worsley. Not complicated at all and very easy to listen too. I highly recommend if you are interested in Queen Victoria and this era.

I wish Lucy had narrated

Interesting and I did find out things I didn't know. I wish Lucy Worsley had narrated it as I kept finding myself trying to imagine her presenting style

Great book but misleading with who is narrating it

I love Lucy and one of the main reasons I got the audio book (I already have physical book) is because I thought Lucy would be narratingh more and not just the intro and an interview at the end. The narrator did a good job but I would not have bothered had I known it was not at least half Lucy!

I like how Lucy goes more into the relationship between Victoria and her half sister which is often over looked.

Queen Victoria

Utterly ruined for me by the narrator - her rhythm of speech was so - off - that it felt as if she hadn't read ahead so didn't know what was coming. As a book it's fine, although nothing really new. Is there anything new about Queen Victoria? I enjoyed the Jane Austen book a lot more.
