It took me quite a few chapters to get into this book.
I found it difficult to reconcile the thought processes of Louise with that of a grown up. But after a while I became accustomed to it and managed to enjoy the story for what it was.
Pretty good narration in the book was good enough overall to pass the time.

Great performance, Ho Hum story

I absolutely loved this book! I listened to it on audible and just devoured it! It is the perfect rom-com/chick lit.

Laura’s husband drops the bombshell that he wants a divorce and she finds herself needing a place to rent while she finds a property to buy. She rents an annex over a garage in an exclusive area “The Close” where the “one percenters” live.

Laura finds herself on the outer very soon when the leader of the pack, Stella, thinks she has designs on her fiancé Al. Laura, in trying to clear her name only finds herself delving deeper into a web of lies and deceit.

This book reminded me of the good old days watching Desperate Housewives, with a lot more plastic surgery thrown in for good measure. A feel good read 🥰
