It took me a while to park to the narrator’s intonation; the sarcastic drawl of the protagonist has a distant rhythm in my mind. But didn’t mind it after a while. Such a great story—have read it and listened to it and enjoyed both so much. Definitely a stand out in this genre.

The Cruel Shifterverse stories are wonderful and absolutely had me hooked from book 1. The character development is great, and the plot twists unexpected.

Whilst Maeve York does a masterful job narrating the female PoVs, I couldn't stand Tor Thom's chapters. His monotone inflection lacked any variety, and that repeating monotone grated on my nerves so much that I couldn't absorb the words. I had to fast forward to x2 speed to get through his chapters but then got frustrated because I wasn't getting the gold from the story. I eventually moved to reading all the male PoV chapters in Kindle and skipping the Audible chapters. It was the only way I could fully enjoy the story.

This is one of my all time favourite series to read/listen to! Love Maeve York’s narration in this book, she portrayed the characters so well.
I definitely recommend!

I can't believe how much Aran went through!! How much could she possibly take?

The second book in Aran's series really brought everything out in the open. Her pain and suffering were so emotional. There were also some moments that Aran just made me laugh out loud. "Adopt. Don't shop" was one of them.

I was happy to see Aran was getting some connections, but I still have no idea how it's all going to end up.

I'm heading straight to the last book.

I read on Kindle and read along on Audible with good dual style audio. This book had more POV chapters.

what I'd give to read these for the first time again, charming characters, strong female, male leads youd want to strangle but can't help adoring( from a distance)
bringing back Sadie and her mates was just the cherry on top, spicy and the good thing is it's not forced spicy just to please the smut readers it actually flows quite nice with the story. ps I'm a smut reader and this was a decent amount to satisfy and I'm a story wh$re.

Aran is forced into more dramatic chaos as she navigates her forced ties to the devil kings and the challenges that come with the legionaire games.
This is a great story and the narration excellent. Like a roller coaster you will go through many emotions, so be ready. I can't wait for the next book to be narrated.
