Publisher's Summary

Zavier “Cade” McCade, former Army Special Forces and creator of Custos Securities, finds himself in a situation he never thought he'd be in - he's fallen in love with Braden Cross, the gorgeous pastry chef he's guarding. Cade has lived his life as a protector: of his country, his family and friends, his clients, and now, the man with whom he's in love. He thrives in dangerous and stressful situations. But nothing could prepare him for Braden's decision to put himself in danger.

After a vicious attack from his stalker leaves Braden fighting for his life, Cade will stop at nothing to see the man responsible punished. Time passes, but Braden's attacker hasn't given up, and Cade's afraid he never will. As Cade and the most trusted members of Custos Securities track Braden's assailant, Braden struggles to rebuild his life and reestablish the fragile trust he and Cade had worked so hard to build. Braden knows if he's going to survive the chaos surrounding him, he's going to have to give Cade everything he has - mind, body, and soul.

More determined than ever to hunt down the man who nearly killed the love of his life, Cade will do everything in his power to ensure he and Braden will be able to live the life of their dreams with nothing and no one standing in their way.

Meanwhile, hidden just out of their reach, an increasingly deranged stalker watches...and waits.

Contains mature themes.

unfortunately

Not as good as the first book unfortunately so much of the book concentrated in them talking about their feelings that nothing really substantial happened sfter Eric was dealt with and then i was just waiting for the book to finish. Shame i was looking forward to this one.

Wonderful story.

Wow! Good story. Not a big fan of I insta love books. Once the story got started I really started to get into it. It was a little off putting that the first book was a cliff hanger but bought the next book in line because I needed to find out what was going to happen. Branden was a good character and was glad that he was portrayed with his health issues and was able to show how he could take care of himself. Cade was the perfect alpha. Strong but so protective and loving. Loved Cade family. Now I’m hooked. Hoping the next book isn’t a cliff hanger.

Warriors

Loved this story. Z and Bray go through so much but their love shines through every single time. Can't wait for next book in the series. The narrator does a great job with the voices.

Read the books!

I love this series but didn't have time to read the books so I thought I would listen to the audio. I won't listen to it again. I highly recommend reading these books instead of listening. First, as stated in my review for the first book, BRADEN IS NOT SOUTHERN, but his accent is by this narrator. It's a southern, damsel in distress type of voice and annoying! Again, read the books. Many of the character voices sound the same so you can't lose yourself in the story. And then, at times, the narrator is robotic. And you could tell this was nothing more than reading a script. During high stressful, action packed parts of this story, it was just the normal monotone with no real inflection. I love audiobooks because they bring the story to life. That is not what happened with this series. This is only the third time I've listened to this narrator, and the last. I think not every listener and narrator works, so your experience may be different. But, definitely read the books if you haven't. I still love them despite my feelings on this audio.

Finally

I read these books when they first came out and was super psyched to see that they became audiobooks. Luna David rocks. I love the McCade clan, Gideon gets a book and I hope some day to know Aiden’s story. Braden and Cade are a sweet couple. I love the protector vibe Cade has for Braden. Their dynamic plays out in a mild D/s relationship, especially in the bedroom which makes for some hot 🔥 🔥 🔥 mm action. This narrator is one of my favorites and he does a superb job with this book. Def check out other titles by Luna David and other books narrated by Tristan James.

So good

I really loved this continuation of Braden and Cade’s story so that we can finally see them get their happily ever after. It was so hard to go through everything they went through to get to that point the pain and the anguish. I cried ugly tears with Cade at one point and happy tears with them both at others. The lives to hear their story and how it was brought to life by Tristan. He did such an amazing job.

5 amazing Stars

This is a part of one of my all time favourite series. This is book two about the main characters Zavier and Braden. The next book is about on of Zavier’s brothers. I’ve been waiting forever for this series to come to audio, then throw in the fact it has my all time favourite narrator and BOOM! Winner!!! Bring on book 3 to audio.
