How do you find yourself after you lose the one you loved the most?
Lenny has been a bit of a mess since her best friend, Lou, passed away. She's avoiding her concerned parents, her apartment and the list of things she's supposed to do to enjoy life again. The only thing she can handle right now is babysitting a precocious seven-year-old, Ainsley. And if Lenny acts like she's fine, maybe no one will notice she's falling apart. The only issue: Ainsley's uncle, Miles, is always there and is kind of . . . a huge jerk.
But Miles sees right through her. He knows a lot about grief and offers her a deal: he'll help her complete her "live again" list if she'll help him re-connect with Ainsley and his sister. Lenny doubts anything can help, but as she begins to spend more time with Miles, she begins to see that, sometimes, losing everything can be the first step to finding yourself again.

Another ray of sunshine from Cara
Another laugh-out-loud but filled with depth rom-com from Cara. I got in trouble by my hubby when listening to it last night as he was trying to sleep because I kept giggling. I suspect we might have another from this universe coming and I can’t wait!!!

beautiful and heartbreaking all in one
Grief affects different people in different ways, and listening to this story makes you feel every friggin emotion a person could feel.
And when you listen or read this book, you will feel the same.
Lenny and Miles story is beautiful and heartbreaking all in one.
I don't want to spoil the story for future readers. What I can say is that you will not regret having this story in your life.

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful
Cara Bastone writes the most genuine and wonderful characters and has done it again. Miles is the steadfast kind soul and Lenny feels everything so incredibly deeply. Alex the narrator is phenomenal at bringing the emotions and pacing to the story. You will fall in love with Miles and Lenny.
Your heart will feel, heal and grow with Promise Me Sunshine.
