Lenny has been a bit of a mess since her best friend, Lou, passed away. She's avoiding her concerned parents, her apartment and the list of things she's supposed to do to enjoy life again. The only thing she can handle right now is babysitting a precocious seven-year-old, Ainsley. And if Lenny acts like she's fine, maybe no one will notice she's falling apart. The only issue: Ainsley's uncle, Miles, is always there and is kind of . . . a huge jerk.

Cara Bastone writes the most genuine and wonderful characters and has done it again. Miles is the steadfast kind soul and Lenny feels everything so incredibly deeply. Alex the narrator is phenomenal at bringing the emotions and pacing to the story. You will fall in love with Miles and Lenny.

One of the best narrations I’ve ever heard. I cannot believe the one narratorvoiced all the characters and I still felt like I was listening to a cast of voice actors. Beautiful story, I would highly recommend.

Another laugh-out-loud but filled with depth rom-com from Cara. I got in trouble by my hubby when listening to it last night as he was trying to sleep because I kept giggling. I suspect we might have another from this universe coming and I can’t wait!!!
