Publisher's Summary

Award-winning, critically acclaimed author Alan Gratz (Prisoner B-3087) returns with another gripping World War II story, this time about a spy in the Hitler Youth.

It's the height of World War II. Michael O'Shaunessey, son of the Irish ambassador to Nazi Germany, lives with his family in Berlin. But Michael, like his parents, is a spy. He joins the Hitler Youth, taking part in their horrific games and book burning, despising everything they stand for but using his insider knowledge to bring important information back to his parents and the British Secret Service. When Michael is tasked to find out more about Projekt 1065, a secret Nazi mission, things get even more complicated. He must prove his loyalty to the Hitler Youth at all costs - even if it means risking the lives of his family and himself.

Acclaimed author Alan Gratz delivers a heart-pounding, action-packed tale of political intrigue, betrayal, and survival.

Headline

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator did a good job. It is sad what children went through in Nazi Germany.

Great story, more designed for young adults 10-14

narrator was excellent, the story had little drama as I realized it was for young adults.

Didn't want to stop listening!!!

The book was very exciting. Many twists and and turns. We couldn't wait to find out what happened next. Listened during a long car trip and no one wanted to stop the story.

Main character is Irish - why not sound Irish?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

OK story - insights to the Hitler Youth which is a different perspective on WWII

If you’ve listened to books by Alan Gratz before, how does this one compare?

Have not listened to other books by this author - will do so in the future.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

As the main character is an Irish boy in Germany - why not select an Irish narrator. The Irish accents were pretty bad. I felt it distracted from a good storyline.

Could you see Projekt 1065 being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes - it would make a good movie. The main character would have to be a young Irish boy

Any additional comments?

Good story - lost a lot due to the accents.
