Surprisingly a bit disappointed

I'm surprised but I was disappointed. I don't think the reader puts enough variation I to his reading. There isn't much change in his voice from general narrating to dramatic scenes.
I'm not sure if that is the reason I am disappointed, but it could also be partly the story.
