Publisher's Summary

After Shaun Attwood arrived in the Arizona Department of Corrections, his challenges multiplied. His cellmate threatened to cave in Shaun’s skull with a padlock in a sock. A naked neighbour dragged him into a cell for sex. Before a visit with his parents, he was attacked by a drug-crazed biker.

Forced to adapt or perish, Shaun made alliances with powerful prisoners, including T-Bone a massive ex-Marine who risked his life saving inmates from rape, and Two Tonys, an old-school Mafia murderer who left the corpses of his rivals from Tucson to Alaska. They showed Shaun how to transcend incarceration and to learn from his mistakes.

Prison Time

It’s an interesting story. This book sounds so much better because the author is reading it. It’s much better with an English accent. It’s easy to see why America’s prisons and jails are so crowded.

incredible story terrible narration

Please go back to the narrator in "Hard Time" Authors should never narrate their own books, if the story was not so good i would have stopped listening, almost unbearable.

A fascinating insight

Shaun's account of his time in prison is a fascinating insight into a world that most of us will never experience, but one that is potentially one silly mistake away! More than an entertaining "can't put it down" read, but a learning experience as you grow with Shaun on his journey of Self-Discovery, Fitness (Iron Man is a beast), and Yoga to spotlight a few but not to spoil your enjoyment of this scintillating book.

And, finally, let's get T-bone free and take care of his future!

Right, I'm motivated to get some burpees done.

Namaste

The Wolves are calling you to read this!

A must read! #3 in Shaun Attwood Trilogy. Shaun describes his experiences so vividly that you feel you are right there with him. Originally I was only planning on reading Party Time but I have not been able to stop listening since I first started Party Time a week ago! Prison Time will keep you hanging on every word!

Great narrative of prison life

Unlike some other reviews I did not find the narrator- the author himself - very bad at all. Good story and overall very much liked the book

A great end to the trilogy

this is the first of the tree I've listened to that is narrated by Shaun himself and it definitely adds a new dimension to the story. the one thing that took me out of the immersion of the story in the previous two was having an American man narrate a story told by and Englishman, with the sentence structures, slang and dialect kept in place, made for some clunky moments, but having Shaun tell it absolutely ideal, hearing emotion change in the read means something, these moments happened to the person speaking. buy this book, listen to them all!!

narrator's voice irritating

I read the first 2 books , when listening on audible I prefer the actual writer to narrate as it gives it more authenticity but to be honest his accent got annoying after a while , he reads ultra slow in parts , I actually checked the speed cause I though I must of accidentally slowed it down a touch but no, he really is talking that slow , I know a lot of his prison mates loved his accent , I get the impression he loves the sound of his own voice literally. . when he's doing American accents it's even more annoying and when he does those whispery recounts it's out and out weird... classic narcissist In my opinion loves talking about himself. .the next book should be about wild man, a genuine character

AMAZING! LOVE IT!

What an amazing story. Fantastic. One of them books where I never wanted it to finish. One thing that was a major disappointment was I got used to listening to Randal Schaffer voice on the first book and then looking forward to Prison Time it was just odd listening to Shaun's voice, my personal opinion it messed up the flow. You do get used to listening to Shaun voice.

It was sad to find out Wildman has passed away recently.
RIP Wildman

A hard listen due to the start stop narration

This probably is a really good read, but I found it hard to comfortably listen to it due to its 'sentence - pause-sentance-pause continuous narration.

Brilliant listen

Took some getting used to shauns style of reading after the first 2 books using a different speaker, but its an epic series of books. Hard to believe the life you had and things you got up to shaun.

Poor narration

A good story but a shame it is badly read by the author. It’s surprising how stunted it sounds even when reading his own dialogue.
