This book was amazing, giving you enough to keep you interested and fall in love (and hate) with the characters. I just had to purchase the second in the series as soon as I was done with this one and on my way to listen to it now!

Loved this book! I was worried when I saw the cover that this would be just another YA fantasy novel but boy was I wrong. Loved the character development, loved the intrigue, loved seeing good bi rep and I'm always excited to see a wlw couple that feels authentic.

Had me on the edge of my seat. I was hoping for a book to tie me over for a few weeks but instead I couldn’t put it down. A beautifully written fantasy novel full of political intrigue, mystery and magic whilst including queer characters. It’s so refreshing and I’m so thankful to find some representation within my favourite genre. Thank you!
