As a massive Austen fan I usually avoid spin offs, and there was a clanger of a red flag in the author's thanks at the beginning implying P&P to be "trashy romance". I gritted my teeth and gave it a go. It was quite silly and merging it into modern setting was more off-putting than merging it with paranormal, what with young ages and instant proposals and people not going out to get a job when they need money (given a fictional economy!). But the brilliant performance of the narrator kept me hooked and made it not too hard to skip over the plot holes and awkwardness. I'd say give it a go, with expectations set fairly low, and you might find yourself smiling.
