🎧 Dual narration; and a good one at that, where the female narrators male voice ain’t half bad, and the male narrator doesn’t put on an irritating “feminine voice” reading her lines. This is how dual narration should be done.

📕 I had to sit with this a wee bit before rating it because while I was thoroughly entertained, the author had me guessing and doubting constantly {I remain suspicious one of the characters was NOT Batman}; I had trouble with the FMC, and a couple of little unresolved or unexplained items. Kyah was clueless so often, I came to dislike her.

I love this book, and so super excited when I heard this audiobook was coming out. Was so disappointed to learn while listening that this was a duel narration, and not a duet. It took me out of the story a few times, but on the whole the narrators did a good job. I still love the book.

I thought this audiobook was good but predictable. The story is dark, twisted, and full of that obsessive, dangerous tension Sheridan Anne writes so well. The narrators did a fantastic job — the emotion, the pacing, everything about the performance kept me engaged.

That said, I feel like I figured out who the stalker was super early, which made the rest of the story feel a bit too easy to anticipate. The romance dynamic while stalker vibes / Stockholm Syndrome territory, which was interesting but definitely messed up.

If you love dark romance with morally gray characters and don’t mind some heavy, uncomfortable themes, you’ll probably love this one more than I did. For me, it was a 3.5-star listen — enjoyable, well-performed, but just a bit too predictable.

For those girls who want the real villain, the truely bad guy who fixates on the girl. This one’s for you.

This was a great read. The format was a bit new, not your typical stalker romance. There was mystery, and so many questions.

BUT, it was also fun in a completely unhinged way. I laughed, out loud. I wouldn’t call it a comedy at all but I had such a great time through the whole thing.

The spice was also on point.

Highly recommend!
