Set in the early 1950s diamonds stolen from France are to be sold. Who is the buyer, who will be killed and why. Very well narrated with lots of different accents for the characters. I really enjoyed this story

I thought some of the story disconnected in that here was no reason for certain feelings or looks. The place of women hasn’t worn well with the male patronising perspective writ large and made more so by the reader’s tone. But she is a good writer.

I have listened to several of Helens books 📚. Found this one not as good. as others. unsure for what reason. just didn't seem to gel together. even the narration was as easy to listen to. I didn't have a couple attempts withitand did manage to finish.
