Great narrators, easy story to listen to. It reminds me a bit of the Hunger Games. I’ll definitely listen to the next book.

The female narators male impersonations are probably one of the worst I've heard. I think she was going for husky but sounded like he had smoked too many cigarettes. She also makes the males sound juvenile. Jax sounds like he is 8 not 15. The male was great except for the chef, he makes her sound like a Southpark character especially when she says kai.

I wish she used the Female narrator from powerful and the male narrator from this book. That would of been the dream combo

I also expected more with all the rave reviews but the story fell short especially during the first trial. I just found it anticlimactic

Similar vibe to the those books with a little extra romance. Great storyline, great plot twist. I bought the second book the moment I reached the epilogue. Highly Recommend!

Paedyn is an amazing female protagonist, from her skills to her personality and loyalty. And as a protagonist, she is not portrayed as perfect which helps even more to make her relatable. The narration of this on audible was absolutely amazing and has given me two new narrators to look out for when I look for my next audiobook. I got onto this book as a recommendation from a friend and am so glad that she introduced me to it! It is one of those books where despite it actually being a relatively long book, you hardly notice at all, and you are desperate to read more when you are done with it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who thinks they might like it. I hope you find you love it just as much as I do! Enjoy!
