This book was made for Teddy Hamilton, another great read from him, it had that darkness that he just does so god dam well! And that possessiveness. Cj blooms voice sexy as all hell! These two go very well together. Was a good story. These books always make me feel warm and fuzzy 🥰 love them!

I loved Jasper and Sloane’s story. Elsie writes such wholesome heart-warming stories. This had great tension, banter and spice. This series can do no wrong. Teddy Hamilton is Jasper in the Audiobook, which is an added bonus.

The Chestnut Springs series are a good time, they are a fun and easy listen, with cute romances and a sprinkle of spice. Powerless combined the sweet country vibes of the series with hockey romance, which was simply divine. Jasper is the perfect combo of cowboy and hockey star and Sloane's character growth is so empowering.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. Because it didn't seem to have too much plot. Instead, it was all a mishmash of hiding feelings and stifling emotions and an insecure hero.
In previous books Elsie has portrayed Jasper as a good looking but quiet introspective. Introvert that doesn't seem to have a lot of faith in himself.
I began to understand where his insecurities came from and why he has kept his secrets for so long. But with all that, I can say, this H is not my type of guy. So maybe that's why I'm a little indifferent to this book.
And when it comes to Sloane. Oh boy, does he ever come out of his shell. Steam and feelings and all. .
It took till chapter 26 before things really started to take shape between the hero and the heroine.
As for h, I just wanted to slap her for her stubbornness then applaud her for growing a pair Before the H!! And I really felt emotionally for her as she found out secrets about her family.
All that being said, I was still really frustrated with this book. The 2 just kept dancing around each other over and over. Then the split H personality arrives.
Unlike the first book and some of the second, the humour is there but not as belly laughing as before.
Harvey is just brilliant, he's funny with such dry humour and I'm in love with him throughout the past 3 books.
The best is the brass the H and h reach for at the end. Their passions are similar and is the driving force and common goal that leads to the HEA. Simply superb.
Teddy narrates wonderfully as always
And C J Bloom, I love her voice.
