I don’t know if this story is necessary to a plot future into other books or if it’s just a sad story? It was ok sad yes but i already experience that in the first book.

I knew how it was going to end! It’s so well written and I wished that had more time together.
I hope Makoto is in the next book and him and Paiden meet- sharing stories about her. The jackets is all they both have left :(

Unless Mak is coming back in later books in a big way.. this was superfluous! Could have maybe added in something more about Adena & Mak in the first book if it was really necessary! This 5 hour book was not worth the time or the price of a full book.
Honestly, Audible really should reconsider how they charge these half books! A flat rate just seems like a rip off!!

This is such a beautiful story of Adena, really made me fall in love with her and break my heart all over again

I’ve never cried this much reading such a short book having read the first one, but you have to read it. Don’t skip it. But grab the tissues and just keep the box near you.

Knowing the ending makes it heartbreaking

After powerless I was like you know what this won’t be too bad but boy was I wrong! This had me rooting for Makoto and Adena I let my delusional ass self believe maybe this had a twist in it and Adena somehow lives but nooooooo. Not only did I have to got through it once but twice! Each perspective was as heartbreaking and soul shattering, a love unfinished. Thankful that we were blessed to see how Adena affected others and that it wasn’t just going to be Pae missing her but man come on Makoto deserved better than that.

I read this in tandem and glad i did because i would of lost alot of context to what was happening.

The male narrator made Adena sound high pitched and so damn annoying that it was painful to listen too. The Female narrator carried this book.
