loved the whole book. loved the characters. sad then happy alternatively. first time I have listened to this author, will be going for more. thank you Ahren. narrators excellent.

Am I listening correctly and all of this started with a 20 something pierce pursuing a 17 year old Darby?
Age gaps are fine when both parties are over 18.
Pierce is a little unlikeable.
Their families a tad overbearing.
But it's Cole and Maya I felt for the most.

I do recommend this book however be prepared that’s a bit different to other contemporary novels !
They get back together in like the 3rd hour of the book and I wondered what is the rest going to be!

overall i liked the story line and characters, but all the self doubt and toing and froing was annoying, taking away from the main story.
by halfway through i was looking at the time remaining and wondering if i could handle listening to it at 3x speed just to get through it.

I’ve been listening to books lots lately and it’s been so frustrating trying to find a book that nails quality and this just hit the spot.
The intensity, the story, the struggles all just completely made the book so worth the read. Thank you :)

I was so hooked on these 2. It was a really enjoyable read. Young love lost and found again. I love when there is family and food and love all entertained.

Enjoyed the book somewhat, although I wasn’t a fan of Pierce in the storyline. She stayed true to him for 12 years although he had two kids with Connie? Nope, he did not deserve any grace and she deserved a hell of a lot more than what she got. Only kept reading thinking it wasn’t really his kids but it just kept getting worse. There really wasn’t any proportionate karma or grovelling for Pierce or Connie and Darby was a bit of a doormat.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it had it all. Substance, distance, love, spice, realness.

Narrated to perfection, I’m hoping there will be a book number two or even three. (The two brothers).
