A lovely story focused on characters (especially Anne) and their lives, foibles, and desires, set in England past with it’s well defined rules of etiquette, society and custom.

Scacchi reads it perfectly with great effort at distinguishing voices.

The only slight annoyance is that this version for some reason has the occasional long pause. Don’t know if it’s in the narration or recording.
