Publisher's Summary

Random House presents the audiobook edition of Persuader by Lee Child, read by Jeff Harding.

Never forgive, never forget. That's Jack Reacher's operating principle. And Quinn was one of the worst guys he ever had the misfortune to meet. He had done unforgivable things. So Reacher was glad to know Quinn was dead. Until the day he saw someone who looked an awful lot like him, alive and well, riding in a limousine outside Boston's Symphony Hall.

Never apologise. Never explain. When Reacher witnesses a brutal attempt to kidnap a terrified young student on a New England campus, he takes the law into his own hands. That's his way, after all. Only this time, it leads to a fatal shooting. Has Reacher - shockingly - lost his sense of right and wrong? Just because this time, it's personal?

Jack Amateur Reacher

Reacher makes so many stupid mistakes I almost started supporting the bad guys. There is some great parts Reacher at his neck snapping best however he let's his guard down so many times it was frustrating .

Story a bit slow and repetitive

I love lee child’s books but this one did not grip me or keep me interested. I listened to the whole book nevertheless as I am dedicated to lees childs books. I must say the ending was gripping.

Entertaining from start to finish

I’ve just recently started listening to audio books and have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books in the Jack Reacher series. This one was no exception. Great for long distance truck drivers.

A great and a very addictive story

I have read or listened to all the Jack Reacher stories and I put this book all the way at the top. Very tense and a good build up to the final climax. A good story all in all. I especially liked the switch between the story ten years back and present.

One thing though, which in a small way was annoying, was the constantly repeating sentence “I said nothing”. I didn’t count but it must be in the 100. That being mentioned I highly recommend this book. It’s great novel and very good narration! Thanks

narrator's reading cadence ruins whole book

after less than a minute I felt like giving up on the book... the reading sounds as if he's reading a shopping list, ending all sentences as if they're not part of a story. seriously annoying. and sadly I have more books narrated by this person.

Flashback Jack

A refreshingly different approach to Reacher's adventures - present day story speckled with flashbacks and a parallel history. I enjoyed Reacher's vulnerability and close shaves with death; showed him as more normal and less "super human fictional character". The "first person" narration meant, from the start, that Reacher ultimately won, but it also raised my intrigue to discover how as the tension rose with each deadly encounter. Great story-telling.

one of the best

one of the best reacher 's I've read so far. killing floor still at the top, but this one on par with trip wire. the only low note is the flash back. I hate those.

Always enjoyable

Jeff Harding really is my favourite narrator. The story was OK. There have been better but still, always enjoyable.
