About this listen

Radically change the way you think about pressure

"Whatever it is you want to improve in your own life, this book will help you do it. I can't recommend it highly enough." (Former All Black captain, Richie McCaw)

Everyone has experienced that sense of being overwhelmed when the world closes in on us. Perform Under Pressure will not only help you survive but thrive in situations that up until now have been holding you back.

Dr Ceri Evans targets those moments when you are most stressed and uncomfortable. His Red-Blue mind model - developed over 25 years and used by world-class performers - converts his clinical insights into a simple approach that will help you gain control, when you need it most.

From elite athletes to weekend amateurs, entrepreneurs to business leaders, parents to students: if you want to be better at what you do, pressure is unavoidable. This book will help you feel comfortable being uncomfortable, overcome mental obstacles, and unlock your untapped potential.

About the author: Ceri Evans is a consultant psychiatrist from New Zealand specialising in how the brain works under pressure. He is perhaps best-known for his work with the All Blacks over the last decade. This is the first time his method for performance under pressure has been published.

I found a lot of useful, and simple tools for supporting high performance. The book grabs well established performance theories and science and turns them into easy to remember tools, supported by examples.
The narration was clear and easy to follow, although at times I found the reading pace a bit too slow.

A rich toolbox for performance

Good content. But Harper Audio have let Ceri down with the quality of the recording.

It might be fine as a printed book but I really struggled to follow this audibly.

Way too technical for an audio book

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

Too much technical jargon and complicated explanations which I found dull and boring. Quit the book half way through because I lost interest.
