Publisher's Summary

A dark secret and a deadly score to settle.

In 1997 teenager Sophie White and her three girlfriends decide they want to lose their virginity before summer is over.

Roping in her childhood buddy Gareth and his mates, Sophie holds a party to get the deed over and done with, but the night doesn’t end as planned.

Twenty years later, the group are brought back together when Gareth is killed in a car accident and Sophie begins receiving threatening messages. It seems the party wasn’t as innocent as everyone thought, and now someone wants payback.

A gripping, highly addictive game of cat and mouse where the past comes back with vengeance. Perfect for the fans of Kimberley Chambers, Emma Tallon and Jessie Keane.

Interesting concept of a virginity party

Not something I would have conceived of but may just happen. The setting of the RE office was a strange choice as well, but the story was woven effectively. I knew the killer by chapter 24. An interesting read.

A Wowser

A.H

This Book had me hooked from the very beginning.

First of all, I enjoyed its Narrator.

Secondly, it left me guessing for quite some time, of which person/s came under my suspicion.

Fleshy characters, well thought out, yet not too large an ensemble , in which to get lost.

The First Book I have enjoyed by this Author and will be looking for more.

Pretty uneventful

I neither loved or hated this book. It's a kinda neutral listen. Not much happens really, even boring in some parts, especially the daily workings of the real estate office, that just don't add to the story. It's like filler. Fairly predictable plot. An easy listen, narration is pleasant, but not what I'd consider a thriller.

Payback

Really enjoyed this story, a lot of twists in this to keep the reader interested. Good narration as well.

Ok story, but slow off the mark.

The story was ok once it got going, but was very slow for the first third it so. The list of potential perpetrators grew and changed as the story progressed although my original guess/motivation turned out to be correct.

Easy listening , predictable

I enjoyed this book as it was easy to listen to and well written.
The plot was quite predictable and I guessed who the villain was very early on even though this one d not usual for me.
Still worth the read.

Too drawn out

I enjoyed it but it was way too long. Could have finished at least two hours earlier than it did, it was obvious who it was and why. I skipped to the last three chapters at that point

Too slow

I couldn't finish it. It was so boring. I don't mind a slow burn if there's an interesting plot but there was nothing intriguing about the protagonist to keep me going.

plot issues.

the premise for the story is what made me finish.
The character development is non-existent. Its protagonist is overly dramatic and self-centred.
the plot twist is enjoyable. and I was not expecting it.

Mindless narrative

This is as shallow as a storyline goes. No depth or intrigue. There are so many better books to spend your time listening to. Try those. I couldn’t finish this.
