Dumpster Fire

It’s terrible, I’m just over a third through it and Drew’s suddenly bisexual and Wade is asexual. The first chapter is called “always punch a nazi”,you should always punch them btw I agree with this, but it essentially sets the stage for what is essentially a far left leaning circle jerk. The main characters are self confessed social justice warriors and anyone who doesn’t believe in climate change is a moron. If I wanted this many social and political viewpoints in my entertainment media I’d have a twitter account. I read for escapism not to get today’s issues shoved down my neck. Urgh rant over, but yeah, it’s awful and I won’t be finishing this book let alone this series.

Tess Irondale’s narration is a 10/10 as always.

Stop with the political stuff

I love the other books in the series but this one so far is annoying. I read a book to be entertained, not sit here and deal with the authors political views. On the upside Tess Irondale does a wonderful performance as always.

I’m so sick of the political crap, boo

Well I enjoyed the last 3 books, but in the first 20 minutes all I’ve heard “punch Nazis”. and what appears to be a Charlottesville remake. I’m Not American but this crap has infected other countries. Elliot seeming pro assault of anyone they can name as Nazi. I’m am a great fan of Tess Irondale as a great narrator and I sometimes forget it’s a female narrator doing men’s voices, I listen to audiobooks for a escape not to be bombarded by the USA’s woke punch a innocent man club. Well at present America is burning and those same people are killing and burning it down the country.

I’ll give it a few more minutes, If it’s still blugioning me about radical left wing advocates I’m done . ..and will probable never by another book by author. Get woke go broke. I hope the next 10 minutes will reveal it was a dream or alternate reality because I just don’t need the hate and ignorance. But if not, well it was a free country and you write your books how you want to, but I don’t have to listen,

To Political

The Author puts every single political piont he can into the story so he can claim he's part of the fight. If you want to get political next time actually put some effort into it.

Well that was disappointing

I stopped at around 8hrs in and just couldn't get past the bullshit. This series was one of my favorites until this installment. The author has some very clear political views and has bent the characters and the story lines in ways that just don't make sense. He stopped telling the story of Rachel, Alex and lorelai and jumped into liberal pandering. tess irondale does a fantastic job as always. Very disappointing.

Identity politics problem

While I enjoyed mr kay’s previous books the identity politics in this has truly turned me off from finishing this book or the series. They aren’t everywhere or even too common, and yet they take you out of the story and make you question why, why is this here I did not ask for it and it should not be here in the first place. That aside, quality and performance of this book is top notch.
This will be my last time with one of mister kay’s works, and if he doesn’t like that then I guess he should remember the phrase “get woke, go broke”.
Goodbye

Too much political silliness

What is this belief that you should physically attack people if you don't like what they say? If you hit them hard enough, that will change their mind? Really?

A Faithful Continuation to a Fun Series.

If you've read or listened to the other books in this series, it continues the story wonderfully. These Characters have quickly become some of my most enjoyed all around. There are some who say that it's too "Political" which strikes me as code for they didn't like that the characters are vocal about certain issues that have reflections in our world today. However, the characters act in the way you'd expect had you followed the series from the start, and I've found it to be quite the satisfying ride. Elliott Kay has created some very enjoyable characters who I look forward to seeing again. Tess Irondale is excellent as always and delivers wonderfully in the performance.

Another excellent book in a great series.

This is another great book in an excellent series. I love the character development and I am excited about the new characters that showed up in this book. I feel it is a good continuation to the series as well and a fun and entertaining. Tessa Irondale always gives good voices for the characters and makes these books well read and fun to listen to. I recommend this entire series and I can't wait until the next book, and I hope it is sooner than later.

In a word: Cathartic

I devoured this book. I love this universe, and all of the characters in it are amazing. Without getting into spoiler territory, I will say that some interesting new connections are made, or rather discovered, with Alex and his past lives. Everyone gets their much deserved just desserts, leaving one with a very satisfied feel at the end. There are some nice sequel hooks throughout the story, so in addition to being a fantastic listen, it also has one wanting more.

Tess Irondale is fantastic as always. It's like she was given to us just to read Kay's work. Having narrated several of these books, one can tell that she is very comfortable with the story and characters, allowing the narrative to flow quite nicely.

An amazingly great adventure

This is one my favorite series and was so happy to see another book added to the series. This one does not disappoint not that I am shocked by this Elliott Kay is an amazing author! You should pick up this book if you have read any of the others or if you enjoy urban fantasy.
