About this listen
When Oliver applied for a job in the Hell dimension on a whim, he didn't expect it to turn his whole world—or his heart—entirely upside down.
Recently graduated at twenty-six, and two months behind on rent, Oliver Barnes is desperate. So desperate, in fact, that he applies for a job in the Greed district of Hell's Pentagram. But when he misses his train and, subsequently, his job interview, he stumbles, instead, upon a strange little coffee shop in the middle of Purgatory's barren desert—and into an unexpected opportunity.
It isn't the job he came to Hell for, but maybe it's exactly the job he needs.
As he navigates the demon dimension and tries to survive the ridiculous shenanigans of his unholy co-workers, Oliver soon falls head-over-ass for a tentacled lawyer with electric fingers and a deadly-sharp grin. Together, they discover that, sometimes, love and happiness can be just a train ride away.
Join Oliver and the rest of the eccentric staff of The Passing Through Cafe in Nik Knight's new rom-com urban fantasy series, full of found family, embarrassing encounters, spicy situations, and love that crosses dimensions

The couple was soooo sweet - I might have to check for diabetes after I gobbled up this book in two sittings. I loved all the crazy, colorful characters and and am looking forward to more books in this world.
The narration was awesome, of course. I'm a fan of M. Lesley since I first heard him narrate TJ Klune's Varenia books and he did an amazing job with this book. His talent with comedic text is absolutely superior.
Definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys MM romance, interesting worldbuilding and well written comedy.
so much fun!

The voices used for all the characters, the delivery of the dialogue and the pace. Brings it to life in a way my inner reading voice would fail at.
I laughed out loud several times.. even in public. This whole book was just pure fun. I had fun listening.
No notes perfect.
A perfect audiobook.

the story was... okay.
sort of nothing happened but I guess a lot of romance stories are like that. human boy needs job...ends up getting one that opens his eyes up to a wider word and meets person of his dreams.. done.
there was almost an overload of characters... I understand the author is obv building a world and figure books, but at times it's was conversation overload and even with the narrator doing a great job or was borderline too much. some of the themes covered were good (society expectations/snobbery/degradation of certain groups/drug use) but even with that there were times I (unfortunately) was bored... it took nearly 20%of the book to meet the next MMX and get the romance going..and I was by then a little un-invested.
overall, now that I'm done.. didn't hate it... it was a cute read but I'm not sure ill keep going for the occasional laugh...
it was a bit of fun
