Beautifully written and narrated
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I felt like I was back in Paris listening to a friend speaking to me in a cafe about this beautiful city.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The author - due to his style of relaying what he observes in a humble and passionate way.
Which character – as performed by Max Winter – was your favourite?
The author and his story. Max Winter has a warm mellifluous voice that in my opinion perfectly matched the cadence of David Downie's beautiful prose. I normally speed up the narration but due to his pleasant voice I decided to leave the setting at normal speed. He also has a pleasant pronunciation of french words.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The last chapter when he mentioned "....I am unfailingly enchanted by the view from Trocadero of the Seine and the sparkling Eiffel tower".......
Any additional comments?
Lots of interesting information that you don't normally read in the usual tourist books so now looking forward to going back to Paris.....again!

Nostalgic for previous visitors
What did you like most about Paris, Paris?
Very delightful to 'visit' Paris through the audiobook to relive some of my fond memories there. Wish the book is longer!

Had to stop listening and buy Kindle edition.
The narrator's terrible pronunciation was too much to bear so I bought the Kindle edition.
