Publisher's Summary

What happens when temporary becomes forever?

Oz Gallagher does not do relationships well. Bored and jobless after another disastrous hook up, he decides to leave London for a temporary job in the wilds of Cornwall. Surely managing a stately home on a country estate will be easier than navigating the detritus of his relationships at home. Six months there will alleviate a bit of his wanderlust and then he can come back to London as footloose and fancy free as the day he left it.

However, when he gets there, he finds a house in danger of crumbling to the ground and a man who is completely unlike anyone he’s ever met. An earl belonging to a family whose roots go back hundreds of years, Silas is the living embodiment of duty and sacrifice. Two things that Oz has never wanted. He's also warm and funny and he draws Oz to him like a magnet.

Oz banks on the fact that they're from two very different worlds to stop himself falling for Silas. But what will he do when he realizes that these differences are actually part of the pull to one another? Will falling in love be enough to make him stop moving at last and realize that he's finally home?

From best-selling author Lily Morton comes a romantic comedy about two very different men and one very dilapidated house.

This is the first book in the Finding Home series but it can be listened to as a standalone.

Oz is my hero!

Oz Gallagher has to be one of the most cherished characters in m/m romance! Small and feisty, Oz grew up on a London council estate with his Irish mum. Despite his degrees in fine arts, he’s always been looked down on or underestimated because of his background and speech. When he’s hired to manage a stately home upgrade that’s gone off the rails, he expects to be treated the same way, but Silas isn’t your typical earl; he sees Oz for the refreshingly happy and honest person he is. There’s so much trademark Lily Morton snark and humour in this feel-good romance, I loved every moment! There was also a great discussion about social class versus people’s worth: Oz comes from a background with very little but treats others with decency and kindness (unless they cross him!) whereas many of the entitled upper class are arrogant, rude, or judgemental simply because they are lucky enough to be born into a rich family. Joel Leslie pulls out all his accents, voices and timing to produce a truly brilliant audio performance.

Sweet and funny

An easy listen, super sweet, funny and a bit spicy. Great characters, and the narration and accents were spot one.

RomCom at its best!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 stars
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 4
🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 5 (OMG, Joel is just awesome!)

This is truly a Rom-Com at its best!

OMG, I love Oz (and Silas)! Lily’s wit and humor had me bursting with laughter. Oz’s razor-sharp tongue is fantastic and Joel’s narration elevates the book to new heights.

A fast-paced, quick-witted story with a totally lovable “Lord” turned vet, with a giant heart, ready for love, and a slightly jaded, pocket-sized Irishman with sass, snark, and passion just waiting to be unleashed. From the opening sentence, I was snorting with laughed and completely hooked on Oz’s big personality. I loved watching him bomb an interview, shove a Lord (& his new boss) in the closet, take on an insurmountable renovation task, and sass anyone who got it his way, all while trying not to fall for his new boss! These two men will captivate you and have you laughing from the word go.

Be prepared for love, lust, sass, and humor, all compacted into the pocket rocket that is Oz!

If you’re looking for a laugh and a hug (& a good bit of steam too) then this is the perfect book! I loved it so much and can’t recommend it enough 😍

P.S. also get ready for awesome cameos from Lily’s Mixed Messages, Book 3 😉

Pure briliance!

Lily Morton is the absolute Queen of British Comedic Romance. Her writing is like having a giggle with a trusted friend who knows all your in jokes and I just adore her style and ability to include the reader in the inner circle of the characters.
Oz bring all that and more - the almost eccentric behaviour, unapologetic and excessive personality is written so perfectly that it's a pure wonder to experience. Seeing the love blossom between these characters is beautiful and the journey to their HEA is a fun and memorable experience.
Everyone should read these books - they are just so much fun and such brilliant characters!
To add a whole other layer - everyone should listen to the extraordinary audio performed by Joel Leslie. The way he brings not only the characters to life, but the situations and comedy is beyond belief. I will definitely be revisiting these audios again and again, like returning a warm hug!

Storyline = 4 1/2 stars

Oz is my new favourite character from this author. Silas was very likeable as well, but Oz’s snark & witty humour kept me smiling from start to finish - his interview was hilarious! I’m very much enjoying reading through this authors series at the moment, I’m in the mood for humour & low drama/angst.

I love listening to books with characters like Oz - so entertaining & funny. Narration by Joel Leslie was just perfect, he really performed all the different characters so very well. I purchased the audio after reading the book, as I knew with this narrator & the storyline it would be a worthwhile listen.
