Mataura is a small town in rural New Zealand where, apart from the odd tractor theft, nothing very interesting happens. A really enjoyable read

narrator voice terrible

while the story was excellent and the writing great, the narrator was terrible, the pronunciation of New Zealand places was dire. can't work out where she is from because the accent was just bad..

avoid if you like animals - contains animalcruelty

main character's attitude to animals also not great but likely fits with her farm upbringing
