Publisher's Summary

When it comes to money, are you controlled by fear? Do you underestimate your worth? Are you ready to go to the next level, but can't seem to get there? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be an underearner. Underearners are self-saboteurs who don't live up to their earnings potential, says Barbara Stanny, a financial educator, motivational speaker, and career counselor. Whether they make $10 an hour or six figures a year, they tend to live paycheck to paycheck, are often in debt, and have a high tolerance for low pay. Ironically, many work incredibly hard.

The good news is that underearning is a self-imposed condition. By focusing on overcoming it, underearners will not only earn what they deserve, but live a richer life. With techniques and exercises that have helped thousands of people, Stanny teaches five essential steps to financial independence and brings a message of empowerment to all those who chronically undervalue themselves.

One of the best books on money mindset

This is one of my go-to books for improving mindset and habits around money. It's both informative and practical. I have used the exercises over and over again and even bought the hardcopy version as I refer back to it regularly.

Awful narrator but good content

The narrator particularly around things like “she said”, “he explained” she stops and over emphasizes those parts of the sentence and conversation portions and it’s very distracting and hard to understand.

Practical, engaging, useful

Overcoming Under-earning is full of great exercises to reflect deeply and with compassion on one's own choices around money. Clear steps are laid out to move in a positive financial direction, while gaining life - long useful knowledge, in a pleasurable way. I can now spend in alignment with my values, save, and make more money. I used to think finance books had to be dry and over my head. No longer, thank you. Recommend.

THANK YOU BARBARA!!!

Life-changing. I feel empowered and hopeful. It's amazing how money is 80% emotional/mental and 20% behavioral.

I loved this book! Great examples of how to identify if you’re an under earner and to help you overcome it. A great supplement to Secrets of Six Figure Women!

Women and money will change for the best.

This is audible book was great. As a modern day women that has a career and business this book opened me insight on how money is viewed from a female aspect. The author makes a great correlation between money and our personal learned relationship. We are taught as your girls/ women to not value money as our male counterparts in turn we accept low paying jobs and undercharge for services in our businesses. This book identifies the key problem and offers amazing solutions to help women change their mindset when it comes money. I highly recommend this book if you are serious about changing your mindset about money.!!!

Incredible work

The content of information and exercises are invaluable guidance to make changes in your life. Audible has enabled me to digest this work at a quicker pace than if I had chosen to read (due to dyslexia). Thank you.
