Enjoyed listening to this book so much. The narration was perfect for the story too. At 56 I am a bit late coming to this trilogy for the 1st time, but it didn't stop me enjoying every minute!

I really enjoyed this first book of the series. It reminds me of Famous Five - but with delightfully sinister and magical elements. It really hooked me in and I eagerly searched for the second book in the series on Audible and found all the others in the sequence but not book no. 2 "The Dark is Rising".... Poo.

I read the series about 30 years ago and loved it. Now after listening to it narrated, I remember why. Totally brilliant story. 👍🙌💕

Well-performed, well-paced and well-written. This was an interesting story and an enjoyable listen. If you like young adult fiction books with a fantasy/mystery twist then you should likely enjoy this.
