About this listen

When an early snow ravages the small town of Plainfield, the residents are stripped of heat, power, and mobility. They'll soon wish they had protection. Somewhere outside, something else is lurking. Waiting for the chance to strike... This bundle contains the first three books in the Outage series: Outage, Outage 2: The Awakening, and Outage 3: Vengeance.

This was an enjoyable series of books.

However, I thought Abby in book 1 was a bit of a moron. I hated practically every single decision she made!
Eg “Let’s leave our house in a massive snowstorm in an unreliable car, and just hope we can find shelter before the car craps out on us....”
I’m sorry but that seemed very stupid to me. If the car breaks down they’ll wish they were back at home. Well they probably wouldn’t because they’d be frozen to death.

Honestly if all 3 books hadn’t been in one set I wouldn’t have bothered after book 1.

Which would’ve been a shame, because I thought book 2 and 3 were far far better than the first. More action, more drama, fewer dumb decisions (mostly), and much better characters.

I liked how the third book ended too, and I see there are two more sequels. I think I’ll give those a try, since each sequel is better than the last.

Books 2 and 3 were better than 1.
