Winnifred "Win" McNulty has always been wildly independent. Not one to be coddled for her limb difference, Win has spent most of her life trying to prove that she can do it all on her own. And, with some minor adjustments, she's done just fine.

That is until she has a one-night stand with the incredibly charming Bo, a perfect stranger. And that one night changes everything.

While Bo is surprisingly elated to step up to the plate, Win finds herself unsure of whether she can handle this new challenge on her own or if she'll need a helping hand.

So Hannah, how does it feel to write literal perfection? This is definitely one of my top reads/listens of 2023.

I listened Out On A Limb after hearing so many phenomenal things about it, and oh boy, it did not disappoint. In terms of the audio itself, the narrator was fantastic and she had me laughing out loud several times at her deliverance of dialogue.

The book and writing itself. Wow. I just could not get enough of it. I can sometimes be a bit iffy about accidental pregnancy books, but Hannah truely nailed it. Bo and Win have me in an absolute chokehold. All their interactions had me wanting to either giggle and kick my legs back and forth, or sob because they deserve the world.

I also want to take a moment to acknowledge how fantastic the disability rep was in this book. With Win having an underdeveloped hand and Bo being an amputee due to cancer, these were portrayed so carefully and thoughtfully, showcasing that disabilities do not define you. I loved it.

I loved this book. Such a sweet story of 2 people falling in love. Probably one of my favourite listens/reads ever. Such great disability representation. Loved the central couple but also all the side characters. The narration was on point as well.

The sweetest love story. Is now one of my favourite books! The voice actor performance was so great as well, really helped me connect with the characters!

Now that is how you write a romance book.
This was a fantastic story that touched on many heavy topics and disabilities but was written so beautifully. The main characters are wonderful and Bo is the biggest golden retriever I loved him!
And that epilogue was chefs kiss!

I normally like books with suspense, and some dark themes, as well as books with disability representation. After seeing positive reviews I gave this a go fearing a DNF, but was suprised when I couldn't stop listening and finished it in the wee hours in two days. It was refreshingly normal, positive, sweet and realistic. I appreciated the writing and loved the inner thoughts. Add in the excellent narration and this was a 5 star listen for me.

I listened to this story for the book club I am in, not my usual type of book.
This story is a breath of fresh air. A good palate cleanser.
It was just perfect, perfect, perfect, which is where I have the biggest issue. There was no struggle, no tension. It was a Hallmark calibre story.
It was sometimes funny. But otherwise it was just an ok, pretty nothing story.
