About this listen

The Sunday Times bestseller. Also published as The Cornwalls Are Gone in the US.

After a harrowing tour in Afghanistan, intelligence officer Amy Cornwall is eager to return home to her husband and their young daughter. But as soon as she steps into the house, she knows that something is terribly wrong.

Her family is missing.

The kidnappers leave a message: if she wants to see her husband and daughter alive again, Amy must complete a near impossible task...and she has 48 hours to do it.

She'll do whatever it takes to bring them home.

Alone, afraid and officially AWOL, Amy will sacrifice everything to find her family – her career, her reputation, maybe even her own life...

Good storyline not predictable with lots of nuance and suspense... loved the different narrators... add dimension and authenticity ...

Family matters most, or do they?

Over the years I have read most of the James Patterson novels. This one is lucky to get 3 stars. Running out of story lines, ideas, the qualities that make you want to read till you finish. I should have gone with my gut instinct, listened to the preview and stopped there.

All a bit HoHum

The two narrator's just don't work the change in tempo, voice infliction loose the story continuity. I for one will not contemplate another dual narrator book.

Interesting story, well written BUT
