Good story but I just found Malek generally unlikeable because he was weak. He seemed like a weak and frustrating character that a strong woman like Jadora could not love. His slavish devotion to his king despite clear and unforgivable behaviour, and doing things that were clearly immoral and disgusting like chaining the dragon just made the romance unbearable and unbelievable
