Publisher's Summary

Hope is a four-letter word. Yet, I can’t help but hope that the Oracle will be the answer to what I seek.

But getting to the Oracle is no small thing as she resides in the center of the Blasted Lands - toxic waste, lava, and monsters. And as the alpha of our pride, it’s up to me to act responsibly and not get my people all killed.

Driving us from behind comes the desert goddess whose rage is centered on me, and with her is a new ally, who still holds my heart in his hands. One whose voice calls to me still.

Eyes on the prize, I will push forward, even though hope feels weak and pointless. Along the way, maybe my heart will heal; maybe I’ll bring my brother back from the dead; maybe this will turn out okay after all.

Or maybe I will lose everything, and everyone I hold dear, and discover I’m not meant to save anyone.

Hope might spring eternal, but she’s a right bitch as far as I can see.

Entertaining

Oracle’s Haunt is another great story in the Desert Cursed series. The snark is funny, the characters are likable, and the storyline is entertaining. I believe Mayer may take perverse pleasure at tugging on the heart strings of her readers. The narrator did a good job!

Love!

I love this series! The characters are great and have so many different personalities. I feel like I could be friends with them. There is plenty of action. Lauren Fortgang does a fantastic job with the narration. I could listen to her all day.

Great series so far.

The book is difficult to put down. The narrator weaves a compelling story. I really appreciate the number of books in the series.

Let the tears flow

This is my second read through of this series and it is still one of my top favorites. Zam is put through so much but she never breaks and always keeps moving forward. This book tests her heart and her loyalties to the breaking point. Shannon continues to rip my heart further from my chest with each book and even though I know how the series ends I still feel myself upset for Zam and the stuff she is put through. I can’t wait to continue on with this series.

Another Wild Ride

There is so much more Zam gets to learn about herself. I suspect that future books will keep giving more and more as well.

This book left me with quite the emotions.

After the end of the last book, I wasn't sure where the relationships would go. On the romantic side, the main love interest of Zam from the first 3 books seems to be out of the equation. But, I have to admit that I still want that to succeed.

And there's a potential new love interest… Oh, and Steve is still an a$$.

Lila still kicks butt. And the relationship between Zam and Lila is completely cemented. They are sisters.

I'm really looking forward to where this series is going to take me.

In full disclosure, I received a free copy of the audiobook for an honest review.

Wonderful

I was expecting this one to fall flat. I couldn't imagine what else the author might throw at Zam and crew at this point. But I was so so so wrong! It might be one of my favorites in the series so far.
