Story
The wry, honest and often hilarious chronicles of a very brave and clever TV presenter, Arctic Explorer and general drawer of the Short Straw. Moving quickly on from the devastating crash that nearly killed him he ranges widely over his life and times: a visit to Glastonbury with James May reminds of him of his early years of playing in a band and how and why he never quite made it as a rock star.

Story
For 13 years, 22 series and 175 shows, Richard Porter was script editor of Top Gear, from the first faltering pilot episode in 2002 until the very last show presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May in 2015. Along the way they destroyed cars, sparked diplomatic incidents, set fire to caravans, almost killed one of the presenters, and somehow transformed Top Gear from a shabby BBC Two motoring show into an Emmy-winning, record-breaking, planet-straddling behemoth.

Being given yet another pointless 'man manual' that told him 50 ways to tie a bow tie in under 30 seconds made James May certain there was a need for another kind of book. This book, in fact. He reckons there are nine vital things that a chap should be able to do.

Humor from Hammy
Any additional comments?
This book is filled with interesting little tales from Hammond. Each one funnier than the last. It very much helps that it it narrated by the Hamster, you get the full feel of his sarcasem and wit that may have been lost if read by someone else. A great light read/listen that is easy to pick up/put down whenever the mood strikes. Very witty, very Hammond.

Funny and entertaining
A wonderfully witty written reflection of a British TV presenter in the throws of his first midlife crisis—turning 40. For anyone who’s a fan of the old Top Gear presenters, Richard tells it like it is (or rather was) given he’s currently going through his next crisis—turning 50.

Just a few stories from the hamster himself.
It is a fun, short listen, most of which are very enjoyable, and uterrly hilarious.
certainly worth my credit. My only gripe is the editing. I'd prefer unabridged but it's still great.

Good book but shorter then the others by Richard
Would you consider the audio edition of Or Is That Just Me? to be better than the print version?
Yes, by all means because of the narration.
Would you be willing to try another book from Richard Hammond? Why or why not?
Yes i would, I like his humor and his reading.
What about Richard Hammond’s performance did you like?
Voice and the way he tells you the story first hand.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed a few times.
Any additional comments?
Good book, but the other books he has is better, On the Edge and As you do.

Audio Book Defeats Paper
Richard Hammond's books are a prime example of why audio books can be better than their paper counterparts. With Hamster narrating, the listener is rewarded with the wonderful humor expressed as only the author could. His subtle inflections, British accent, and perfectly timed pauses enhance the wonderful stories shared in this short book.

Disappointed how quick to finish and a bit random
Started a bit... Then flicked random and ended is the only way to describe. Had some Good insight but seemed a bit random and vague but then over focused kidney stones.... Glad I used my free credit and not bought, but bewildered as it ended like an elder telling a tale with a 'is that it?' After listening to his narration which was good .
