As the remaining musicians take a chance on gifted but inexperienced Grace, the cast of actors, which includes Jonathan Adams and Jere Burns, draws a line as taut as a violin string between tension and humor. As Grace, Liza Weil has a slight tremor in her voice that betrays her uncertainty as the other actors swirl around her, sniping at each other with the affection and resentment of people who have known, loved, and hated each other for years.
