About this listen

If my time with Ryan Miller were a hit track on the radio, I imagine the lyrics would go something like this...

"We're so different, but they say opposites attract. Oops, I've fallen, and my heart doesn't want to come back."

His dad lives right next to my mom, and after the two of them suffered an unexplained accident while taking down holiday decorations, both Ryan and I were forced to become the only 30something residents of Sunny Creek Village Independent Senior Living Community.

Constantly thrown together by the antics of our crazy parents and the tough-as-nails community enforcer, Betty Matthews, Ryan and I formed an alliance for the sole purpose of survival. But I never expected to be so interested in finding out what he was hiding beneath his grumpy, serious demeanor. More than that, I never dreamed what I found would be the kind of man women sell their souls to the devil for.

Unfortunately, our little one-hit wonder on the airwaves has more to say before it comes to an end. Although, finishing the outro to this song is a real doozy....

Tell me...what lyric rhymes with "Oops, I've fallen for my future stepbrother"?

Contains mature themes.

I snort giggled throughout this book (the hair clippers and TP scenes LMAO) and couldn't put it down. Max Monroe sure knows how to deliver loveable and quirky characters, a great story and humor. The narrators were spot on. A recommended listen/read.

✨ Delightful and Hilarious✨

This book was very well written and the cast reading did an amazing job with portraying the characters! Could not recommend this more to anyone who loves a sweet romance with a little bit of spice!

I needed something light and fun, this hit the spot!

What better backdrop for a rom-com than a retirement village. There were lot's of LOL moments and I thought that Carly and Ryan's parents Stella and Sal really made this book.

If you are looking for a light listen with a few good laughs, this book is for you.

Thoroughly enjoyable!!

Story very entertaining but nearly gave up on listening to this Audio version at all as the male narrator's voice to me is a major turnoff. Second narration I've come across that voice and nrarly returned the book. Totally saved by the female narrator so I persevered.. Light romp suited the mood I was seeking at the time

Male narrator nearly killed this for me

The female narrator does an excellent job with all voices she uses. The male narrator does a really odd female voice that jars a bit and made Stella sound like she was 90 lol! But once I could get used to it, the story was really lovely!

Fun, funny, light hearted

Second Max Monroe title and found it enjoyable.
Took a little while to get used to male narrator but not in a bad way.
Versions of parents voices were vastly different (male making them sound way older).
Funny enough.
Wasn't blown away but happy as a free read/listen.

Keeping it in the family
