charm and emotion

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? captures a lot of emotion in a short amount of time, good pace with (mature) engaging characters.
Was there anything that didn't work for me? nope - thoroughly enjoyed it

Overall comment: Sweet second chance (secret baby) romance. The Duke of Danby is matchmaking again!
Cristiana is determined to keep Adam away, Adam is determined to marry her and be part of Cris and his daughter's lives. It's short, full of emotion and left me with a smile.

Narrator comment: I enjoyed Anne Damman's narration, she's done a great job bringing "One Wicked Christmas" to life and I enjoyed the audio experience.

Soul Mates

I loved this story with two people who needed time to have them come together. Love watching a rogue come to his knees for the love of the right woman and a woman strong enough to know she deserved what she wanted. Highly recommend. The narrator kept me engaged throughout.

Perfect!

I noticed that quite a few of the books or audiobooks I was coming across lately involved the Duke of Danby even though they were written by different authors and so, because I hate an unsolved mystery, I Googled him.
Apparently a whole lot of authors got together, created this fictional character who couldn't stand the idea that his grandchildren needed 'help' in finding a spouse and so became the 'meddler' and many of his grandchildren had his help in finding their beloved.
Then the idea took root and other authors have written him into their stories and he happily meddles away leaving happy ever afters in his wake for nieces and nephews, his god children and so on.
Enough about him and lets get back to this review.
I loved this novella! The characters of Cristiana and Adam are endearing, the story is a lovely second chances that works out perfectly with a little bit of meddling by the infamous Duke of Danby.
I listened to the audio version and though I had to get used to Anne Damman's accent and some of her pronounciations (which were strange to my ear for a short while) I found her narrations quite acceptable.
