Publisher's Summary

A fiery new enemies-to-lovers, second chance stand-alone romance from number-one New York Times best seller Lauren Blakely performed by Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, with Sebastian York! Enjoy appearances from Zachary Webber, Shane East, and Erin Mallon in this delicious romance!

Lucas Xavier is the last person I want to spend 24 hours with, let alone two minutes. Exes are exes for a reason. In his case, for a million reasons. Because he's not only an ex-lover, he's also an ex-friend. We didn't just break up - we combusted in a spectacular bonfire of barbs and doors slammed.

Nothing will change that. Not his clever wit, not his ridiculous good looks, not his unfair levels of charm. And definitely not a wild dash through the city that takes us on an accidental scavenger hunt through our past, where we stop for a tango lesson, pancakes and a visit with some llamas.

And certainly not time together to make amends and say we're sorry.

But, let's say that was enough...it's not like you can fall in love in 24 hours.

Can you?

This audio book contains a bonus novella! Debuting first in audio is Your French Kisses, a stand-alone novelette in the Boyfriend Material series, performed by Shane East and Erin Mallon.

Wow

I just adored this story, a simple mix up and lack of communication for these two held tham apart for 10 years, then a scavenger hunt brought them together. Loved previous and future characters popping in. Narration was spectacular.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love Lauren Blakely! Her books are always so fun and flirty and this one is that and more. What's fun in this one is the scavenger hunt. What a perfect way to fall in love, toss two people together who were once almost a thing and watch the magic come together. This was also pretty steamy with some sexy talk and with their chemistry there is no way you didn't feel them falling in love. The way the scavenger hunt came together was a little cheesy but in a good funny way and the ending was super cute. This book has some of the best Lauren Blakely banter yet because there is banter between ALL of the characters. The narration was perfect which is no surprise. Andi & Jason were great but I love the fun little visits by some of my favorite narrators too. Especially loved that Erin Mallon's roll was all man ;)

One Night Stand-In

Who doesn’t love a second chance romance? I loved the storyline for this one. It was sweet and so cool and different. I think that is why I love Lauren’s books so much she give us a fresh spin and story with every book. They never feel like the same story. I always look forward to listening to her stories. They make me feel all the feels and I smile and get that awe feeling I get when I watch a great romance movie. I wish more authors gave us unique story lines like she does. And her narrators are fantastic; they really bring you into the story. Like you’re seeing it plays behind your eyes.

So Many Smiles!!!

Have you ever listened to a book and smiled from beginning to the very end? That’s what this book did to me – all the love and smiles from the opening dialogue to final wrap-up. Lucas and Lola had the friendship – headed to lovers relationship gone bad, but now cannot avoid each other when their respective siblings need their help. Ms. Blakely’s ability to tell this love story that happens in the midst of a scavenger hunt is romantic comedy perfection. She weaves a tale that has just enough historic detail to not overwhelm the reader, while setting the stage for what will happen next. And let’s face it, there’s nothing better than listening to two people want each other and try to talk themselves out of it – it’s comedy & romance gold! Speaking of Gold – the narration on this book is PERFECTION to the extreme! The words were written for the narrators as the cast shines! We begin with some lovely banter between Lucas (Jason Clarke) and Reed (Shane East). Lola (Andi Arndt) confides to her best friends Amy & Payton and surprise we have Peter the Rollerblade dude show up (Erin Mallon). The landlord who starts this scavenger hunt is grumpy, but funny (Sebastian York) and the spazzy brother to Lucas gets to pop in with his off the wall discussions (Zachary Webber). How could audiobook lovers not want this book in the repeat pile with all this talent and words of love!?! Five stars is not enough for a book that is so perfectly executed to give a HEA while weaving in characters from previous books at hinting at future storylines. All the stars for all the smiles!!!

LOVE books with all the narrators!!

It makes any book just more fun when there is a cornucopia of top notch narrators taking us on this ride. Add in Star Wars references and confirmation that Die Hard is a Christmas Movie - and this book is just plain fun and a new favorite. I love Love LOVE the narration on this one. And did I mention the occasional Star Wars reference? That makes it so true to (my) life. The premise of a scavenger hunt is intriguing, because let's face it, once you grow up you don't get to do fun things like that anymore, and SebYo as the game master was hilarious. Andi and Jason have been so fantastic through this series as well - just can't go wrong there. Webber, East and Mallon are only missing Arden to round out a perfect supporting cast. (my lone disappointment on this book). Reading this book might be great, but the narration will bring it to a whole other level that can't compare.

I love the narrators but the story was so scattered it was hard to follow. it seemed like it escalated in the wrong spots.

Skip It

This was too much like the second book in the series to make it enjoyable. “Best friends” missing the chance for love because neither were brave enough to say something about it. The two older siblings taking care of the younger ones. It’s almost as if Lauren ran out of ideas for a story. I actually didn’t care for Lola or Lucas. I did, however; enjoy the secondary characters in the the story, especially Reed and Rowan.

I love Lauren Blakely's scavenger hunts!

This was an awesome second-chance love story. Lucas and Lola are friends-almost lovers-enemies-competitors. When their brief romance ended years ago, they went from being great friends to bitter rivals in their careers. With his brother and her sister in love with one another, it's difficult to be totally out of each other's lives. So, they share a chilly civility toward each other. When a domestic emergency happens, Lucas and Lola end up on a surprise scavenger hunt. Twenty-four hours with your sworn enemy isn't how they want to spend their time, but for the greater good, they go ahead with the hunt. Being in such close proximity forces them to relive past hurts, and reexamine what happened to their once close friendship. I loved the self-reflection that occurs for both Lucas and Lola. They were very telling of how they were then, and how that affected them moving forward. Having Jason Clarke and Andi Arndt narrating the main couple is always great, but when Lauren tosses in Zachary Webber, Shane East, Erin Mallon, and The Unicorn aka Sebastian York, this became a lot more fun than I was anticipating. The surprises in this story are classic Lauren Blakely, because she likes to keep readers/listeners on their toes. Her ability to take a trope (second-chance romance) so many times in her books, yet make them their own unique story boggles my mind, but I'm grateful for her talent. You will no doubt enjoy this story...and not quite the end of this series.

Absolutely loved this book!

One Night Stand-In was a fabulous second chance romance. This book was funny, steamy and never a dull moment. When Lucas and Lola have to work together to go on a scavenger hunt to save the belongings of their love struck siblings, they have to put their own past feelings of passion and hurt behind them. You will love finding out just how and what is uncovered on this journey! The cast of narrators did an amazing job!

Scavenger hunts are the best

What fun a scavenger hunt can be or could be if it wasn't trying to find your sister's possessions and it wasn't having to do it with your ex boyfriend that is now your enemy. Lola does everything for her sister Luna but this is asking a little too much. Not only does she not have the time but she also doesn't know if her heart can deal with working with Lucas to run around the city finding their items their crazy landlord hid. Who does that? A over the top man that finds it amusing to take her sister and her boyfriends personal belongings and hid them all over the city in places they argued about. Now Lola and Lucas must work together to find said items in the time frame allowed and not go crazy in the process. Lucas will do anything his brother needs him to do but can he do this? Lola was once his everything and time changed that and can he work with her to help his brother out, sure he can or he hopes he can. This was a fun book and brought these two former lovers back together. I enjoyed tagging along with Lucas and Lola as they found their way not only to Luna and Rowan's items but back to where they belonged. You wonder who is pulling the puppet strings from time to time but it's just fun to travel with them on this journey. They both have their reason's for being over eager toward their spoiled siblings and it's enduring. As with a lot of Lauren Blakely's books, the characters live in New York so I love how the author takes me there with her words. I feel as though I am with the characters as they get their coffee or go to the bowling alley or walk down the sidewalk. I always come away with a sense of being there in the story which says volumes for her skill as a writer. When an author can take you on the journey with the characters and you feel along with them it's a great book for me. I received an early copy of this book to read and review with my honest opinion. I really enjoyed it and recommend this book. Narration is perfection. The cast does an amazing job and I loved listening to them. There is a bonus novella at the end too. Swoon!!!

Solid 4 stars!

I thought this was a really simple and sweet second chance romance story. I enjoyed it. It was a good palate cleanser in between other books. The narration was very good, and it was a treat to have all the additional narrators in the book!

Lovely audio!

Audio of this book was so good with the different guy voices and I had to keep listening till was finished it had me engrossed from the beginning. I was looking forward to Lola book, she was always sassy and thought she was funny. I loved the basis of this story, both of them running around the city looking for things. It was funny and their chemistry was off the charts. I loved hearing about the earlier characters and I loved his friend Reid!
